I find this a rather sad and pathetic move that tells us alot about the creativity of the the people involved in this game.
The Joker/EDI romance makes Joker look completely pathetic and since this is Bioware and for Bioware Romance=Sex it's also completely uncomfortable either due to consent issues or because he's fu*king an inanimate object,depending on how you look at it.
I'm also not looking forward to having my ship follow me around on my ship,if there's a way to get her out of that robot body I will use it.

Perhaps this is an atavistic thing.I don't know if EDI is just a metallic Galatea in our eyes or it´'s just atavistic behavior from sci-fi lore. I remember the original Star Trek series when Captain Kirk always had an excuse to date aliens and robots made sexy for the sake of audience. Or perhaps i'm just talking nonsense.

Why should dating a robot be any different from dating Tali? She's a f***ing alien after all, if for some obscure plot reason quarians need to have vagoos and boobs then let the poor joker date the robot.

Earlier today I was doing a google image search for that comic strip where Shepard tries to touch Samara's hair and she slaps him with a singulatiry, and I came across a series of strips called "Mass Erect".  I immediately rinsed my eyes out with HCl.

The Joker-EDI romance is just mean when so many people have been holding out for their Shepards to get with Joker (where else would you get the chance the virtually bang Seth Green??). If they really wanted to do the EDI thing, they should have made both Joker and EDI be LIs, and if you didn't go with either of them then they end up with each other.

I get that people find this idea strange, and I certainly do NOT want her as a squadmate ( I may change my mind if she proves to be useful in combat and interesting out of it), but really if she wasn't "sexy" what would she be?

It's not about sex appeal=good, it's about artistic direction.

I personally would not have wanted her to be EDI in a LOKI mech's body, would have been boring as hell.

I think EDI's design is good, in my opinion of course. And who knows I may actually come to like what she's like now, assuming she's interesting enough to talk to.

Why couldn't they just make her a hologram instead? Like Avina, but with a different look.

At least it's an improvement over her 'look' in ME2, which was basically a sphere with blue female genital 'lips' that opened and closed every time she spoke.
