Am I to assume you sold Legion to Cerberus then?

No, actually.  While I don't like AI, I feel like what cerberus would use it for is worse then reactivating it.  The Geth are already in existance, and shep has killed many geth, what is one more even if he were to turn.  What I mean is that I think it would be a bad idea to create a new form of powerful AI.  Once you give AI's bodies, activists will try to give them rights, and then there is no turning back.  My descisions in ME2 were to dessimate the heretics, re-activate Legion, and shut down Project Overlord, becuase AI CAN NOT be controlled, the only safe option is destruction.  I would raher defeat the geth in a military victory than re-subjugate them.  That is why I did not present the evidence to Tali's coucil.  I sided with Han'Gerrel by having the quarins go to war to take back THEIR homeworld, but through a military victory, not through Daro'Xen's risky reprogramming idea.  I don't want the galaxy to regain control over AI, I want it to destroy AI.Image IPB

The main problem I see in sci-fis with AIs is that people want sentinet laborers. If you create a sentient AI then it will be sentient. Imagine if you were bioengineered by a race of macines and asked to compute things for them with out any rights. I dought any one would like that. So it seems the reason most AIs go rouge such as the Geth as the prime example for ME is since people refuse to treat them as sentinet beings. Just my opintion on the AI thing.

Back on topic - Personaly I liked the EDI hologram since it was a non homanoid hologram unlike most sci-fis which use andriods and often it feals overy sexualized female modeled andriods. So as long as they have a good reason (such as the "infiltraiton android" thing) I will be fine with it, although not exactly like it.

Edit: Didn't see Justicar's post. I agree with that.

Joker can.

EDI and Joker will ask Shepard for his council on how to approach each other.

Shep: "Seriously, guys. Why the hell would you assume I've got the know-how on how to f**k robots?"

J&E: "Legion."

Shep: "Okay, the first thing to think about is..."

I'm hoping to god it is optional because EDI as a squadmate is a horrible idea.

You wanna know something else that was a horrible idea? Working with Cerberus. It happened, we didn't want it, but we dealt with it. How about you follow our example and man the f**k up, bro?

Seriously, don't turn into another Terror_K. You're by far the least annoying Cerbie fan, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Working with Cerberus was more a horrible idea in hindsight than it felt like at the time, really. Mostly because along the way I learned that Cerberus has an unhealthy tendency to experiment on the mentally-challenged, and that's just not on.

Very reasonable comment but EDI will "IN"FILTRATE to whom with her sexy android skin? (pun intented -- as Data once said I am a fully functional android programmed in multiple techniques). INFLIRTATION platform more likely. Maybe she will dazzle the pervert Asari, Krogan, Turians, Humans, Quarians... But aliens? With that form? Dazzle Reapers with that form? I don't think so.

Actually, the IN part is emphasized mainly because the term Geth Outfiltrator never really caught on.

EDI: Oh really?

SHEPARD: EDI, was that really called for?

EDI: No, but it was funny.

Apparently BioWare "were looking at" Joker/EDI romance.
To be honest, I wouldn't see that as too far out, given their dramatically improved relationship as of the Suicide Mission.

Ok, on the idea of Joker/EDI romance, a thought came to mind. How awesome would it be if she made a reference to one of her lines in ME2 and said something about humans being on their knees.

I expected to come back and see joker making out with those virtual lips. I like their relationship though I've got no problem if it's expanded on. If you can do aliens , why not robots ?

hahaha use a little imagination.

And to put something a little more on topic, I agree that EDI being a crewmember will be awesome, I really like the way her character developed later on in ME2 so should be interesting to see how it goes.

Same arguments as when she was first leaked. Same narrow-mindedness.

EDI's new body reinforces the game's theme. Without any knowledge of the plot, she may seem like a sexual exploit (And there are jokes in game that make light of that fact.) However by the time you finish your first play-through, the consequences of it all will really weigh in on your mind.

I am glad Edi is a squad mate but hey Bioware should be talking about the game no matter I am supportive of finding out ME 3 info no matter how its done aka learning from leaks

Yup, EDI a companion, over-sexualised robot and all that...not sure if we can romance it (i'm certainly not) but I know someone who probably will.
