In the ME verse who would ever think of giving the AI made with reaper tech a gun?

at least Joker might get himself a lady. A lady that can break him in half but a still.
I think her getting a cyber-body when we haven't seen fully non-organic beings besides the Geth and Reapers is a bit of a jump. A cool jump but a jump none the less. For such a badass mastermind lots of his plans get away from him. The Thorian research in ME1, Lazarus-Shepard and Jack in ME2, Grayson in the novels. Messy, very messy.
It was an idea I was messing around with when planning an ME pen and paper game. I thought it would have been cool to have Replicant style cybernetic character that was perhaps one of the Illusive man's projects that gets away from him. A little Pinocchio Syndrome and it's kind of instant fun for the right player.

I didn't think she was made with Reaper tech, but Cerberus had equipped her with illegal AI tech which is why she was so potentially dangerous. Even so if you look at the Mass Effect Universe art book you can see the character designs for her and she looks pretty cool. Appropriately over sexualized considering her voice and

If you talk to EDI after the Collectors attack the Normandy she will tell you that Reaper tech taken from Sovereign was used in in her construction and devlopment of her cyberwarfare programs.

Also the pic of EDI above the main text on the scan is the final in game design. Sorry Praetor Shepard.

While I was playing ME2, it came onto my mind that it would be great if BioWare gives EDI a body of her own in the third installment. Just think about possibilities here: having an actual AI in a fisical existence near you on the battlefield fully armed, ohhh my.... and if she could be romanced (by Shep or Joker or anyone else in the game), that brings the whole story on another, great level considering how the complete AI story is implemented in ME universe itself.
BioWare already gave us robotic dog pet, and giving EDI a body of her own is idea that I really like and I was hoping for from the first time I played ME2. This game is getting better and better each day and I can't wait to get my hands on my future ME3 CE in few days.
As a huge fan of Tricia Helfer (EDI's voice actress) I'm a little bit sad that BioWare didn't portrayed EDI's body to look more like the gorgeous actress herself (judging by the given pic posts ago of that infiltrator unit), but I'm happy that they gave her a body anyway
He he, maybe if they give us the possibility to even bring that robotic dog to the battlefield (to give a metal bites to husks asses), ohhh, imagine your great personal metallic army and their power: EDI, Legion and vuff vuff The Dog, it would be funtastic!

EDI the sexbot is the newest. Terrible. How can anyone seriously think giving her a body is a good idea?

JACK: So the Normandy's AI gotten a body so she can be a psyco **** like me?
EDI: No, not like you, my tin-****** are bigger than yours
JACK: Watch it! Or I'll warp your metal ass into scrap!
EDI: Oh really?
*EDI then lands the Normandy on Jack*
SHEPARD: EDI, was that really called for?
EDI: No, but it was funny.
And then...
Joker: Aww, gotta love her.

I think I'll stick with playing ME1 & ME2 over & over until ME3 drops a lot in price. Most things I've been reading are preposterous, unnecessary and disappointing (and I'm not talking about the endings).

she is a copy from TIMs wife .
As Kasumi would say, Creeepy.
While i wouldnt want a robot EDI to look like a boring Loki mech knockoff, I wouldnt mind her assuming direct control of something that looked like an actual combat mech, like the ed 209 from robocop, or bulkier meaner looking version of HK47. On second thought, forget that. The turians, krogans and geth prove Bioware is more than capable of coming up with original character designs when they want to
But her current design is just like the Asari's look all over, a stupid decision based on the mistaken notion that sex sells Mass Effect games. If the asari looked more alien and not like captain kirk's green space girls, mass effect would have still sold fine, and avoided the immersion breaking of such an obvious trope. If EDI wasnt sexed up, ME3 would sell just the same. Its pointless.
Plus, the Fembot body reminds me of Bender's girlfriends from futurama.
