Is it just me or do we have no ability to dodge? After playing for around an hour, I noticed I cannot evade whatsoever. Whenever I attempt to dive it simply ignores the command.
The only form of evasion I can do is by moving from one cover to an adjacent piece of cover (or in command styles: hold in one direction and press A, character rolls to the next piece of cover and hides behind it. Anyone else suffering from this?
Turians: Is it just me?

I believe Turians swap the ability to "dodge/roll" in favour of increased movement/storm speed.
Or something like that, anyway.

I think it's intentional, Krogans and Turians can't evade roll. I think it's a bit silly to not let turians evade but that's how it is.

Yeah, turians are fairly powerful but they have no way to quickly dodge, it's to balance them somewhat. They can run pretty damned fast, though.

Wouldn't being twice the size of the other classes balance that out? seems a little pathetic that they can't dive away from a grenade right next to them, instead you have to turn 90 degrees and run...

Lore-wise their armor and exoskeleton make it difficult for them to "roll". Gameplay wise they get better weapon stability and other combat bonuses.

Personally, I love that they can't roll; it means I don't have to worry about the new mechanic I can't get a handle on.

with turian sentinels able to Warp, they could use some biotics to evade.
Just saying, I built my turian sentinel just to pwn with melee.

Lore-wise appears to be ignored, they are still perfectly capable or barrel-rolling from cover to cover. Besides, that shouldn't remove their evading capabilities, look at salarians, they just do sideways "hop" to evade. As a balancing feature that's an incredibly bad one, in my opinion. Enemies can throw grenades, launch explosives or charge you with a knife, and both the krogans and turians can do absolutely nothing to stop these because strafing is too slow and doesn't get you out of the shot in time. All they can do, in fact, is sprint straight into them and hope that solves the problem, or try to rotate and move.

They could do a spin, hell even a side-jump like the salarian would make sense, instead of them just sitting there and thinking angry thoughts, which might I add, will not stop the oncoming projectiles/phantom from making a football-sized hole through your chest...stysiaq wrote...
