 Is there an offline mode for this Origin garbage?

I don't like the idea that I won't even be able to play my single player game when the login servers are down.



On a related note, I sincerely hope EA's sales suffer greatly from not putting this on Steam.

Yes and it's much better than steam awful "offline mod".

As long as you have activated it on the machine installed upon, you can play without internet connection or if servers down to your hearts content (obviously unless wish to play multiplayer which ofcourse requires being online). If there is no internet connection and game has been one time authorised/activated on the machine then Origin starts up in offline mode and you can play offline.

Origin wasn't able to connect one day this week for me even though my internet was fine and I was still able to play the demo offline. So I guess with a server issue you can still play offlie.

You must have missed the who "offline mode" option in Origin. Checking your menus ftw!

I wasn't even able to get past the tiny login window, which has no menus.

Have never, ever had a single problem with steam offline mode ever, not even once.

Edit - been using it for 3 years apprrox.

First time i tried to use origin it freaked out and crashed.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Steam's offline mode works great and I've been using Steam for years now. On the other hand Origins offline mode seams to be janky as hell.
