My hp dv9000 seems to fall into the medium category except for the nvidia geforce go 7600. That worries me, but it is able to run Resident Evil 5. Anyone know how comparable this could be? Thanks for any help, couldn't find a comparison anywhere.

Well Resident Evil 5 is a completely different game running on a different engine. It's a better looking game than Dragon Age, but it's also pretty well optimized.
Your video card is on the low end for running Dragon Age. You might be better off getting the game for the xbox or PS3.
