It could be because of a bad low level sniper rifle perhaps.
Nah, I've noticed noscoping with my Widow sometimes wont even kill a regular assault trooper, when zooming in can kill a guardian by just hitting anywhere on the shield.
Noscoping definitely reduces damage

There is no way that you can kill a gaurdian with a sniper shot to the shield. Now through the slit in the shield yes, but not "anywhere" on the shield.
It was on bronze. That probably has something to do with it.
I was surprised when I first noticed it, but trust me it does work.

No, it's true. As long as you're aiming where the guardian's body would be it's a hit, and with it's power it's a one hit kill. And it works on silver aswell, was doing that earlier to deal with them quickly. Don't know about gold, however.

Also I can kill a Guardian with a sniper shot to the shield...if I have Armor-Piercing Rounds equipped.

So the widows bullets have the ability to actually pass through an object? Why doesnt the Mantis have the same ability?
Well the Mantis is faster I guess.

Probably because the Widow is an anti-materiel rifle and not an anti-personnel rifle.
- An anti-materiel rifle is generally a large-caliber rifle used in
peacetime for destroying equipment and unexploded ordnance, and during
wartime for attacking unarmored or lightly armored vehicles, fuel dumps,
parked airplanes, etc. Though most similar in form to sniper rifles
there is not as much focus on accuracy and more concern for effectively
damaging a target. The roots of the field go back to World War I and the
first anti-tank rifle

I unlocked warp rounds...I thought they bypassed shields and barriers am I wrong? because what do they do? I haven't seen any damage difference.

You don't know what you are talking about. The widow can shoot through shields and thinnish cover.
And yeah, no scoping does less damage.

you never have to do the full animation. just wait for a round to be ready and roll or take cover. and yer gtg =pNOD-INFORMER37 wrote...
Hey does anyone know if in SP we have to go through the whole reloading process after one shot with a sniper rifle, like we do in multi?
Thanx

I guess I could reload faster that way when I need to, but I really hope theres more of a "legit" way. Dont get me wrong, I dont have anything against those who do that, but I personally just dont like preforming "cheap" reload tricks at all, especially for SP.
I can understand why they'd take it out of co-op though, but still if in SP the reload time for a Sniper from the future is the same as a Musket, that'd just suck lol.
