Let me preface this by saying that I have not read or seen any of the leaked story info, so I'm sorry if the answer to my query is painfully obvious to anyone who has.

So, I think I understand that our multiplayer characters can be imported into our single player game to add to our overall "galactic readiness".  What I'm wondering is if there is any way for who we import specifically to have any impact on that.  For instance, if I have a situation where I must choose between aiding the krogan and the salarians, and choose the krogan; or between the quarians and the geth, and choose the geth - what happens if the character I want to import is salarian or a quarian?

Does the representative of a defunct race on the losing end of a civil war/interspecies conflict pack the same punch as their winning counterpart? So, in my above example, would I be better off going with a krogan? Would some simply be unavailable for promotion? Or do all our promoted characters simply add the same X number to our galactic readiness, regardless of their species fate in our story?

Finally, I'll apologize if this has been asked while I've been writing this. It's actually taken me a couple of hours as I am at work and must type about a word at a time between customers. >_<

I'd think that importing any character, regardless of story choice, would add the same amount of Galactic Readiness points, just for the sake of parity and to avoid a flood of comments like, "WTF? My Quarian import only gives me 250 points while a Human import gets 500? Pre-Order Canceled!"
