Please Bioware, you must put a mute button to allow us stop hearing another player's microphone. It's so annoying to hear loud noise or screams and not being able to hear the game's sound.
For example, I was playing today, and while fighting for my life and completing objectives while being attacked by two phantoms, I had to hear the other guy listening to an annoying music while his dog was barking. Then, a little boy came and started crying and screaming, and both the player and that little boy started arguing.
I was hoping to complete the mission as soon as I can, and then at the last round, while shooting with my assault rifle and dodging explosions and some Atlas' missiles, I was hearing at the same time the other guy's grandma telling him how he has grown and that he was more fat than the last time she saw him two years ago (still with the annoying music at the background).
That completely ruins the epicness of the multiplayer and the amazing sound and music from the game because we can't simply mute players. I don't know if there's actually a way to do that, but if don't, please give us the option to do that.
Thanks!

Thats the reason I stopped playing MMOs when microphones started becoming the norm instead of typing. Nothing ruins a game experience faster than listening to what other players sound like, both in voice and whatever happens to be going on in the background.

You could go into the options and turn in-game chat volume all the way down. I've been doing that in every multiplayer game I played for the last 5 years. And I feel it's vastly improved my enjoyment of online gaming.

You guys should buy mics, it's way more fun to play with them.

It's fun to play with them when you use them correctly in the game, like planning tactics with the other players. But when you use the mic to put a background music at max volume and star doing loud and annoying sounds and talking to your cat about politics it's not funny for you and other players and ruin the game's experience at all.
