Male Quarians included.
If you're lucky they'll have a different ability set!

It's ok for me, as is the lack of female turians (which aren't uncommon in the military at all as i understand it). I hope both come later.

I think the issue is that of course the models for male quarians are there, but not every animation. For females they had the animations because they made Tali. So they took the easier way and made MP quarians female.

Both had better come with full release!

Of course then I found out that there was only colour customization for classes in MP;
So sad, I was.

We need Admiral Qwib-Qwib to solve this...
He can't fix it unless Bioware allows "his kind" into the game.

even the one you help in the citadel?franciscoamell wrote...
In ME2, almost every quarian in ME2 was just there to be part of Tali's story, and if you didn't recruit her, they wouldn't appear at all, so imo she was the only actually important quarian, but that may change in ME3 assuming she can die and Shepard needs their help.BatmanPWNS wrote...
Admiral Daro'Xen seems to be important and is voiced by Claudia Black. The latter makes her instantly important.
there is one who gets accused of robery.

It's just that they are transvestites/drag queens.

Why not just make a M/F option for each race that its known to be possible...M/F humans all have the same ability set why does there have to be 2 entire character slots just for the gender. same abilities bleh. i dont see why a simple switch button would be so hard to make instead.

As an animator myself, I can tell you that this is incorrect. With the exception of class specific melees, all classes and races use the same animation set. Theoretically, Bioware could add any model to multiplayer that uses the general human shaped rig. They all use the same skeleton and same animations. Male quarians, Batarians, Geth, are no different. Even Krogans use the same animations, which is why when they are standing on cover their arms and gun clip through their massive bodies so much: That cover animation was designed more in line with human sized characters, so when used on a bulky Krogan everything intersects with his large chest. The animation is all there, what they would need to do is record combat dialogue for male quarians for multiplayer's sake.

It'd make uneven to have one more character to play as in 2 classes, but not in the others, so wait for a DLC, =)
All they need to do is make gender an option instead.
Pick your class, species, gender, and then color. It doesn't have to be two different characters. Same with humans.

This doesn't make sense for all races, though. Krogan females band together in female only clans to protect breeding rights and salarian females live in relative seclusion and protect their hatcheries or whatever (can't recall the codex entry offhand). Turian females are known to serve in the military (one could argue the only reason we haven't met one yet is we've only met Turian politicians or C-Sec officers and there are no female turian c-sec officers, then again we've been to Omega and other places so who knows) and we've seen male quarians aplenty.

Except F krogan and F salarians
For reasons above.

My guess would be that, like how we only have access to 2 levels and one enemy type (Cerberus), there are more playable characters to unlock in the full release, as well as to come as DLC. Male Quarians are a no-brainer, as are Krogan Vanguards, Female Turians, etc.
I sure do hope so. Male Quarians in full release would rock my world.
