I just need a better team... I usually end up scoring more than the three others combined in gold, but I'm yet to get through wave 10...

I had a look at your class combo, and it is exactly what I imagined to be the perfect class combo. Infil + adept is absoltely essential to take out the endless horde of phantoms. Infils can take out objectives and revive squad mates without any problems, and the vanguard takes out stuff that comes too close and the sentinel has really nice abilties to complement the rest of the players.

I tried gold on the PC for the first time today. I was in a group of myself (human soldier), another human soldier, an asari adept, along with a salarian infiltrator. We made it to wave 10 where we wiped out. We then kicked the other human soldier and in came another salarian infiltrator. The guy that came in was ridiculously good. Well, kinda.

I mean, obviously he was a great player because he scored ridiculously high.. I mean, I think at one point in one of the gold matches that we won, he was tripling up my score.. but in actuality, the other salarian, the adept and I, worked as a group. It was a load of fun, and I kept trying to watch flanks. We beat 2 gold matches, I believe. Although I could be wrong.

Gold really isn't all that difficult if you have an asari adept with the bubble stasis. I was mooching some kills off of it. I also spec'd my soldier for everything but alliance training. I spec'd AR for survival. My weapon load out was mantis x and avenger x. I find the avenger to be a great close up weapon and with the stability and expanded clip you can easily get some good focused headshots after staggering an enemy with your opening barrage.

The mantis is key. I think personally, sniper rifles are a must. The carnifex is great for your casters that need to cast (not nearly as heavy as a widow) but the mantis (or if you have a widow) are a must. Headshots just do sooooo much damage in comparison to 3-4 seconds of assault rifle damage.

All in all, if you're in a squad of 4, and 3 of your mates are looking down one alley taking pot shots at a group of enemies that are spawning.. you should probably watch a flank or keep a safe retreating route clear. Especially in the later levels.

I was disappointed with my soldier on the 360, but on the PC (because I can snipe with a mouse, unlike a thumbstick) I actually see a value in a soldier. Grenades are awesome. The only downside to grenades is not picking up a full 3 (or 2) when you hit up an ammo supply cache. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or intended (because they don't want you 'nade spamming holed up at a cache) but.. it's really aggravating.

got to level ten twice outta the four times i played phantoms took us out both times dude was screamin at them and cussin bioware for the cover and revive bein the same button took things a bit to seriously.

I just beat gold. As a LVL 4 INFILTRATOR! And I didn't even suck:lol:


So to all of you saying that you need to be lvl 20 to even attempt gold here's a nice cup of I told you so:P

We did Gold two times, one in each base, as STG (4 Slarians Infiltrator).

Everyone working together and some look, is all you need..

Just done it twice with the same team.


Firebase Ghost is a LOT harder.
You need to comunicate to move from spot to spot cause Atlas and Phantoms keep comming, also be careful with turrets waiting outside, if you see a Engineer take him out right away cause he tends to repair even the goddamm atlas.

At the end of the Firebase Ghost we got swarmed by 4 phantoms and 4 atlas, Everything!! no rockets, no medigels, it was HELL.
Dunno how we did it but "We held the Line!" and got the job done.
I was the last to die with 3 seconds on the clock, ship got there to pick up the bodies.

 Just beat Gold for the first time today. The team was:

Level 20 Asari!Adept
Level 20 Human!Infiltrator
Level 20 Human!Soldier
Level 19 Human!Engineer (Me)

Having Stasis is a godsend due to all the Phantoms that spawn. Though i admit, part of it was luck because two of the objectives we got were holding down a single hack spot (the only other one was hacking 4 seperate locations.)

Three times in a row with the same two guys. I started as an Asari Adept, then switched over to Salarian Infiltrator after the second match. The other two guys were another Asari Adept and another Salarian. The Widow is absolutely kickass at killing Atlases.

Most fun I've had in this game so far. Was so easy I thought I was playing Bronze.

I wished I got a screen shot of my wins because now I don't know if people will believe me.

Both times were at Ghost. So, not too impressive as that seems to definatly be the easier of the two.

The first time was
Salarian Infiltrator-20(me)
Asari Adept- 20
Turian Sentinel-20
Quarian Engineer-20

We basically just camped the room in the center of the two staircases when things got hectic while the asari did bubble spam. Pretty easy.

The second time I enjoyed much more and was quite surprised!
2x Salarian Infiltrators-20 (me)
1x Turian Sentinel- 20
1x Human Adept- 9...with a revenant....and a shotgun.

Basically it was my friend playing with this other guy who says he plays on gold. My friend called BS. Then my other friend joined during the second wave. It was hilarious. We pretty much carried the Adept but it was still a great time and I learned a little trick!

Overload wrecks barriers on Phantoms. Just have my friend overload a phantom then Id go cloak and stealth kill them as Phantoms tend to stay close to us away from the turrets. Overload also works with Vanguards. Break barrier then let the vanguard charge right after. Phantoms won't have anytime to cloak.

Just did it with a few BSN'ers.

Seeing lots and lots of Widows on Gold. Guessing the damage is just worth it when you're being swamped by so many enemies. Thinking of swapping out my Mattock X for one for future runs.
