So the game was working just fine but then I had to leave for an hour.
When I come back I get a message that says I've lost connection to the
Mass Effect 3 server. When I reconnect, I find to my horror that all of
my characters have been deleted. My humans were reset to level 1 and my
alien characters we're-locked.

While not actually related to the issue, to give you an idea of how sad I am, I had a level 17 human adept, level 19 human and Krogan soldiers, I had just unlocked the Quarian engineer and Salarian infiltrator, and a level 15 Turian sentinel. I had also gotten the revenant twice the night before. Not the greatest set of characters ever but it still hurts to lose them all.

Man, that sucks.

This is happening to alot of ppl, I'm not sure why. Srry I cant be of much help.

And Bioware, you guys should really check into this, hopefully it wont be in the full game. :C

That's terrible to hear but hopefully you can help me narrow down exactly what caused this issue.

- Did you or anyone unplug your xbox if it has a wired connection?
- During that hour did you or anyone using your network report it going down? If not, around what time did you leave your xbox idle?

Nobody unplugged it, but I believe I lost my XBL connection at around 6:30-7:30 p.m. Eastern time.My Xbox has been having problems lately with maintaining connection to XBL, sometimes it will randomly disconnect even though the xboxs in the rooms next to me are fine. Hope this helps.

edit: I also just noticed that my rank on the leaderboards is still the same as if those characters still existed, but when I join an online lobby my rank goes back down.
