Why something as basic and simple as this absent from the PC version of the game?

If you check the key bindings, you would notice that it's there, just disabled in the demo. Don't really know why, though.

I am referring to the lobby not the disabled ingame text chat for the demo.

Aye. It's a bit boring just sitting there in silence waiting for people to "Ready", not knowing why they're taking so long.

I can only hope that this demo is an earlier build and that they've implemented it into the retail release or at least have a patch ready for it.

Yeeeeeeah...Lack of a chat is pretty major.

I was wondering about that.

It's like bioware is doing everything in it's power to avoid looking like battlenet lol.

The overall lobby system is crap to be honest. The voting system needs improvement and games should start once the majority is ready instead of waiting for every player to click "Ready". The lack of dedicated servers is another worry. It's a shame because i am really enjoying the co-op mode.

It would be nice for there to be a chat but honestly I don't care too much since its the demo.

Lobby chat would be especially nice so you can discuss your gameplan a little bit...
