It would take too much effort to explain, suffice to say, his reasoning for being renegade is because he has lost patience, that does not mean he has lost feeling, best example I can think of at this moment in time is Dirty Harry, I'm sure there are better examples.

Shepard let people burn to dead because a mercenary asked him.

No, it's because everyone on board would have died and the game would have ended.

You, Sir, are a genious. How do people not understand this? There doesn't have to be some lore that backs it up. It's a game. There are certain things that happen in games to facilitate story.

The Star Wars trilogy would've been short lived if the Storm Troopers could actually aim.

because its a game and the normandy is a symbol of that game and it doesn't always have to make sense.

Nobody would have paid for a game that short.
Also, there are presumably more ships that escaped and we know that Joker is a good pilot AND the Normandy always has the best equibment. And do we know if Reapers "see"? The Normandy could have escaped by covering heat-emissions we know it can.

Yes, he needed Zaeeds loyalty to "get the job done"; ergo his priority was to take the collector ship, the loss of a few people was not his main concern.

Did he say that somewhere? That would be satisfying writing for me right there.

Normandy has the Reaper friend or foe device (IFF.) The reapers probably think the Normandy is one of them

"Hey it's Bob!"
"Hey Bob! Long time no see!"
"How's it been going for the past 37 million years?"

Oh and BTW, did anyone notice the Retcon in ME2? Klengadon became a Gas Giant ME2 from an arid terrestrial planet in ME1, because an terrestrial planet couldn't hide a reaper in its gas clouds.

I'm not convinced the Reapers take Shepard seriously as a threat. If I understand things correctly they see him as little more than a mild annoyance and might not even consider him worth the time to kill. Moreover, I've heard other say they're looking to recover his body for study anyway so blowing up the Normandy wouldn't facilitate that in the slightest.

I guess my view is, the Reapers still have no reason to believe they wont be successful, and further no reason to think that Shepard could realistically do anything to stop them. Hence, why bother worrying about him or his crew in the first place?

They probably just didn't notice the thing. I doubt the Normandy was the only ship that managed to escape Earth.

Uh, then they wouldnt even attack earth to begin with. The idiocy of this whole plot is that they actually think Shepards important. They could win this whole war in two seconds if they just attacked the citadel.

It would be a stupid explanation if the Reapers can't see.

My theory is that the Reapers don't care. They see themselves as unchallenged. Therefore, for them, it doesn't matter when they will destroy the Normandy.

Some of the ME2 scenes make me chuckle, but for the most part I was cringing at how much of an arrogant douchebag RenShep is, particularly in the ME video. No idea how anyone could stomach listening to that for a full playthrough

It's uh in stealth mode. Yeah, that's it, see? The Reapers they uh, they don't have eyes, they have sensors. Yeah. And um, Harbinger... he's not there yet. Only he knows what Shep looks like. Yeah.

And the game would last about 20 minutes if we applied logic to every little thing in it.

Once again the bsn is blowing things out of proportion. I mean if you want to get nitpicky than yeah the reaper could have taken a shot at the Normandy but it didn't, move on we have more important things to worry about.

Seeing as the Citadel is a fortress that they themselves built to be impenetrable, and that attacking it would almost certainly rally every single race to fight them, which is exactly what they DON'T want to do, and they'd also risk damaging the Citadel trying to get in and therefore nullify the entire reason they need the damn thing...no.

Playing a renegade Shepard doesn't mean you have to pick the renegade option every single time.
