Theres statues of them on illos but do they look like that or do they look like collecters?

I believe that they look like the statues on Illos as they look the same in the codex in ME2, for it would make no sense for them to make statues that look nothing like them

Art of the prothean squadmate has been released already. His head structure somewhat resembles that of the Collectors, not the Ilos statues.

Well I believe the in game explanation goes as follows..... the statue (tentacle face) being  were a race that the Protheans conquered. Ilos was not a Prothean planet. They took it by force.

Well I believe the in game explanation goes as follows..... the statue (tentacle face) being  were a race that the Protheans conquered. Ilos was not a Prothean planet. They took it by force.

Source? That picture I posted is from the Prothean's page in the art book. It won't get much more official than that.

I think it's in the ME3 script. I apologize for not knowing the exact source but I remember reading it several times. We'll all find out when the game comes out anyway.

dude so what your saying is that on page 237(on a book you did not specifically name) it says that in the script somewhere it says it

Maybe the Protheans were going through an abstract sculpture movement in their archetectural scene. Maybe the buildings on Ilos were designed by the Frank Gehry of their species.

also the statues are of the Innusonon, a background race in the ME universe that got reaped before the protheans. the portheans simply found Ilos.

Maybe those aren't Protheans. Remember what Liara said about them: "...even they had to stand over the ruins of those who came before them."
