I haven't played the demo, but I have watched a few, and noticed a screen that allows you to choose your psyche background. Does this only apply to non-imported characters? Or do you get to re-chose who died, like changing your background from spacer to earthborn?

Nothing is confirmed, but you probably can't change if imported because if you romanced Ashley then chose Kaidan it wouldn't make sense.

I doubt you can change your choices with an imported character. What if you changed something that affected your whole playthrough? It seems like too much hassle. Baddestsupercec has a good example of what could go wrong.

That option exists solely to allow your non-import characters to decide if half of your former squadmates croaked offscreen or not.
Saves them the trouble of including it in the opening comic or whatnot.
