Rocket Launcher or Flamethrower.

I was hoping I could get an opinion from some of the people who play the Quarian engineer.

Does tons of damage, makes guardians turn around. Super handy to spam at enemy spawn points. You'll rack up assists and kills.

So far, I've found the turret to suck for the Quarian Eng, the other powers are better. I think it might be glitched.
I don't think its so bad I've killed a few people with it, and I love that I can just toss it into an area, and watch it go nuts. What don't you like about it exactly?

Flamethrower imo.

I'm starting to like it already. Anyone have any pro's for the rocket launcher, or cons for either?

Fires like 3 rounds then waits forever to fire more, and has trouble targeting the enemy. It should be more like the engineer that enemy have. Long to setup, but once setup, lays down some serious fire power.

Interesting. I don't really like the whole "waits forever to fire", and "has trouble targeting" part. I think it would end up annoying me after a while.

The rocket is decent, but they way you deploy the turret like a grenade, makes it excellent for the flamethrower the range and area it covers is just insane. Throw it into a room and it will dish out some damage.

Well. The people have spoken. I'll choose flamethrower. I look forward to using it when I play later.
You won't regret it. The rocket just doesn't hit hard enough to warrant it over the flamethrower and its fire rate is very low.

I agree with you there, I've been playing Quarian engineer myself and the turret seems so underpowered...I'm close to being able to get the rocket launcher or flamethrower though (I will get the flamethrower) so maybe then it will be a bit more worthwhile.
On an unrelated note I want to get a Krogan soldier so I can wreck havoc with a shotgun...
EDIT: As for the rocket vs. flamethrower I just wanted to say that the rocket doesn't look so bad, I watched someone else use it against an Atlas and it helped lots

Thats nothing compared to what the flamethrower with the armor piercing upgrade does.
The flame on the turret is much bigger than most expect.

Wow. So many votes for the flamethrower. I think I would have to be foolish to choose otherwise, but I'll probably wait for more comments before I make up I mind.

Have you used the turret yet?

The rocket is nice for fighting an Atlas, but that's what Cobras are for, hoenstly.

Flame thrower vs Rocket is situational (obviously).
Smaller map = Flamethrower
Open map = Rocket
Damage
**********
The flamethrower = 139 dmg & 279 to Armored (w/5pt skill)
The rocket full = 645 dmg & 1290 to Armored (w/5pt skill)
Utility
*******
Flamethrower attracts attention (+1) but dies faster = less damage (-1)
Rockets stays under radar longer (+1) but has issues with targets behind walls(-1)
(now it does have a 2.5m radius so doesn't have to hit target DIRECTLY)
Small +1 IMO is that even if the targets are on the other side of the map and cannot be HIT by the rockets the turret still fires in the DIRECTION of the remaining enemies.
I encountered a glitch where there was 2 centurions camping atop the vents in the Reactor stage and the only thing that showed us where they were was my turret.
P.S. I HATE Ravagers, and not having to run up to them to throw my turret is much appreciated.
