You must be new. Yes, 'hardcore' Mass Effect fans doesn't like change that is not for the betterment. Holstering your gun gave so much more to exploring the world.

I am a "hardcore" mass effect fan. Actually I am a Bioware fan from back on the Kotor and
Jade Empire. So yeah that is just kinda like looking for something to complain about. But
that's how people on the Internet are I guess.

Right. Just because YOU didn't use a certain feature, doesn't mean that other people didn't.
When a feature gets removed that people enjoyed using, yes, that's a valid reason for complaining.

Think perspective, please.

I'm just saying ask questions look for something that isn't so petty to complain about. I did use it btw, but will that stop me from playing a game that is gonna be this awesome? Nope

This awesome? You've only caught a glimpse of it. Don't jump into conclusions, as it can still fail. As a long time Mass Effect fan, the demo is a huge dissapointment and many would
agree. Regardless, I'm still going to spend 150 dollars on it.

You've lost all the credibility of being a hardcore Mass Effect fan. That, or you just don't seem to be able to grasp the concept of QUALITY.

Oh ok thanks because I care about your credibility? Oh yeah I don't but thanks anyway. Um yeah I am a big fan of ME(novels and comics as well)and Bioware. Just saying the have not let me down yet why would they start now? I'm a huge x-men fan but that xmen destiny game was balls, so I'm gonna say yes I know quality bro thank you for you comment though.

I think a demo is a pretty accurate presentation of the final product and I am fine with it. I enjoyed the demo.

You just didn't see it.
Certain animations are rather poor, the lip synching is off and some of the textures were really low quality (Shepard's clothing and Admiral Anderson all round). 
Since a demo is supposed to be representation of what the game is like you expect a polished demo. It usually isn't the last build, but that's why you polish it seperatly. If the demo isn't representative people will understandably think the final product will not be a lot better.

Other complaints are based around things that people missed (no holster looks ridiculous because Shepard keeps pointing his gun straight forward no matter what, his armor must come with supports to hold them there). 
Some of it might be a bit nitpicky, but as long as people are going about it constructively and they don't throw a hissy fit (there are threads that do, granted) than I don't see what's wrong with creating a thread about it in the relevant forum.

EDIT: Don't read everything on the Internet as being angry and don't let the way some people voice their opinion reflect others with the same opinion.

Oh my gosh people chill out! It's a demo not the full game, play it, have fun, give feedback, quit ****ing haha. I am enjoying the demo, I am a real gamer so I have had no issues playing the game i.e. rolling, cover and whatnot. Relax people wait for it to come out. Why would they put all the dialog options in the demo? I have heard this complaint so much on this board, common sense people I don't want spoilers so why put them in the demo? I for one can't wait for the game. The story looks epic and the multiplayer is fantastic! Thank you Bioware!!!!

What i dont get is why people that enjoyed cant shut up and enjoy instead of trying to make people that didnt like the game start liking it.

Go love the game and keep quiet if you like it so much. Dont come over saying that what we're talking about doesnt matter because you loved it.

To think that people that complained used to annoy me... Nowdays is the other way around and it annoys me sooo much more.

I don't think the "it's a demo" excuse will work since DA2. Been there done that , what was in the demo was in the game and it was not good.

ME3 looks like a beta test not a finished a game. The level of mistakes and bugs in the first level don't speak highly of the over all quality level and the animation is ..... welll I don't even have the words for that one.

This is not just a demo, this is IT, the end, the grand finale, the climax, the red line. ME3 can pretty much make or ruin 2012 for some people, that's why some are paranoid. They simply want ME3 to be perfect, to be the grand finale we imagined it to be.

Let me put it in perspective, by the time Mass Effect One was released someone at Bioware had a baby (real human child) and now their kid should be over 5 years old. ME3 is pretty much the last book of "Harry Potter" big, the last episode of Battlestar Galactica big.

It is only natural for fans to be anxious and paranoid and ME developer team is probably pretty nervous them self.

Demo catered more to the FPS crowd than the storydriven/rpg/lore crowd. Basically we had less than a handfull of dialogue options in a game that usually doesnt require us to go five feet without being presented with dialogue options, story twists and lore tidbits. That was cut out of the demo for some reason. Since I play ME for the story that kind of bums me out. If the demo is in any way representative of the storywriting and dialogue, I am not impressed.

I enjoyed the all-too brief introduction one was able to get from the demo. I played for about 30 min and then the demo was over. I felt the demo could've been longer as it was hard to get workable impressions from it, beyond looking a bit better than ME2.

I have taken a gander at the leaked script and if it's anything to go by, I'd say the demo represents the final product in terms of dialog and overall writing quite well. 

-I hope you are lying through your teeth or this will be another Lucasfilm esque letdown.
