I could provide a link to the script if you want.

-Nothanks. I prefer to have some illusions intact and thusly have perhaps a fools hope for something that can lift the heritage of the previous two games. If this bums Ill go on a rant-rampage and start comparing Bio to all of the other companies that EA ate, to a point where it will likely get me banned on this forum.

A fools hope works right now.

Why do people always say, "its a demo!" :?? Did you know that Mass Effect 3 is in full production? Don't believe me? The link below is an EA market ploy, for ME 3. So. for those of us that may not have an internet connection (myself not being one of those people), are left with a buggy game that was delayed for the better part of a year. In order for the developers to resolve those issues?

I think it's easier for some people than actually facing the truth. Stages of grief and all that (yes it's a game it's not worth grief).

Peopel who say it's just a demo are great fun when the full game is finally released though. Endless sources of amusement digging up their old posts and rubbing it in their faces. Lol that sounds sadistic..

Oh yeah I should say I'm playing the demo on the xbox. FYI no they are not the final product otherwise I would have hated Battlefield 3. My whole it's a demo thing is more towards people that complain about something that's not in the game but have not played the full game. Like I have heard people complain about the game not having a dialog wheel and stuff. Those complaints kinda seem a little premature. It's a demo! It's for people that have never played to see it, I have had countless people say "wow I'm getting this game now, the mp was sick but the story looks amazing" but idk I have been wrong before. Im sorry if anyone thinks im trying to change how people feel im not at all, just wanted to voice mine. Everyone feel and do what you want all I know is I will play and enjoy ME 3 launch day. Thanks for one hell of a ride Bioware can't wait!

Makes me wonder if it isn't time for some of BioWare's people to have their eyes checked. I mean they just overlooked this running animation right...?.... Right? :?

I don't really get this either.  Dragon Age Origins automatically made the party draw weapons when entering a battle.

People just like to complain, lol.

Your weapons doesn't affect the camera in DA:O

And your party members would sheathe their weapons after combat.
In Mass Effect 3 you're constantly walking around with your weapon drawn when in a "combat zone".

Premature? Nope. Not really. Demos and betas are generally indicative of the gameplay. If they cut away a vast piece of the dialogue, it would require a five second post on the boards to notify us of that. "We cut "x" content for "x" reason. Sorry to have gotten your knickers in a twist". The end.

Its a 2 gig download. I seriously doubt that dialogue and lore is something that requires a hefty megabyte allocation.

I also have doubts that the Bioware team (ex rpg players and story peddlers as they are) would be happy with this if they got it fed to themselves. Then add the scare some of us got from DA2. Add to that the EA reputation and "Doom and Gloom" self fullfilling prophecies that have come to fruition one time too many despite EA assurances of the opposite.

If the demo was made to cater to the console and fps crowd which usually isnt the targetgroup for Bio, then I get it. Its got some glitzy new abilities and new (diffrent/worse?) graphics.

Im a Bio fanboi. Allways were. I cut them some slack... alot of it... with DA2. I read the reviews and I listened to friends and checked the boards. And I decided to not buy it, at least for now. I thought they were making good strides in storytelling in ME1 and 2. And then I get a demo that has basically zero history and immersion factor. That scares the ****** out of me. Ill be happy to be wrong, but I see the ghost of Bullfrog and Westwood studies lurking in the shadows if this game fails to deliver.

The point of a demo is to represent the full game

Well, to clarify, I find it irrelevant that Shepard walks around with weapons drawn. It's equally irrelevant that you can't control when Shepard draws or holster weapons. Pick and choose your battles, people. I'm much more concerned with how Shepard is supposed to rally the races, defeat the Reapers, and developing relationships with her crew.

I don;t get how annoying little game mechanic details can get everyone's panties up in a bunch to the point where they sound like pmsing little teenaged girls. Seriously, it's a video game with the emphasis on story and fun combat, not how much control your character has over the environment and individual actions. If that is what you are interested in, try SIMS or a TES game.

Quite so. Also in my experience if a demo is based on an older build the developers make sure to say that is the case and to say XXX is fixed in the release version.

I'd be happy if we could all just stop making sweeping generalizations about the game as if the demo is a sound representation of the dialogue, sidequests, and customization for the entirety of the game. Because it's really not.

The point of a demo is to entice people to buy the full game. Very few demos actually "represent" the full game.
