Oh yeah I should say I'm playing the demo on the xbox. FYI no they are not the final product otherwise I would have hated Battlefield 3. My whole it's a demo thing is more towards people that complain about something that's not in the game but have not played the full game. Like I have heard people complain about the game not having a dialog wheel and stuff. Those complaints kinda seem a little premature. It's a demo! It's for people that have never played to see it, I have had countless people say "wow I'm getting this game now, the mp was sick but the story looks amazing" but idk I have been wrong before. Im sorry if anyone thinks im trying to change how people feel im not at all, just wanted to voice mine. Everyone feel and do what you want all I know is I will play and enjoy ME 3 launch day. Thanks for one hell of a ride Bioware can't wait!
Premature? Nope. Not really. Demos and betas are generally indicative of the gameplay. If they cut away a vast piece of the dialogue, it would require a five second post on the boards to notify us of that. "We cut "x" content for "x" reason. Sorry to have gotten your knickers in a twist". The end.
Its a 2 gig download. I seriously doubt that dialogue and lore is something that requires a hefty megabyte allocation.
I also have doubts that the Bioware team (ex rpg players and story peddlers as they are) would be happy with this if they got it fed to themselves. Then add the scare some of us got from DA2. Add to that the EA reputation and "Doom and Gloom" self fullfilling prophecies that have come to fruition one time too many despite EA assurances of the opposite.
If the demo was made to cater to the console and fps crowd which usually isnt the targetgroup for Bio, then I get it. Its got some glitzy new abilities and new (diffrent/worse?) graphics.
Im a Bio fanboi. Allways were. I cut them some slack... alot of it... with DA2. I read the reviews and I listened to friends and checked the boards. And I decided to not buy it, at least for now. I thought they were making good strides in storytelling in ME1 and 2. And then I get a demo that has basically zero history and immersion factor. That scares the ****** out of me. Ill be happy to be wrong, but I see the ghost of Bullfrog and Westwood studies lurking in the shadows if this game fails to deliver.
