There is a respetive user on here that apparently had a CONVO with a developer who said that the demo is "definitely an older build."

But there is no evidence that said conversation ever took place. If the developers really wanted to reassure people they would have made an official staement, not spoken secretly to one random guy.

It just sounds like a desperate guy who's trying to reassure himself with fantasies.

Troll Priestly said it wasn't an old build either.

I know just found it kinda odd to see some of the posts. Probably shouldn't have brought it up. It's just why go to or be on the Bioware message boards if you hate what they do now or feel like they are ignoring there fans.

No company would release a demo which gave an inferior view of there game. It was the same with the DA2 demo, and every Demo I've played. The demo is always the same quality (other than an obvious lack of conent) as the final game.

I'm not saying that the demo is bad, flawed or whatever, only that what you see in the demo is 99% likely to be exactly what you see in the final game- so "it's only a demo" arguments are naive.

And to tell you the truth the animations were fine.

Really?

This is fine?

No sane person with decent eyesight would believe Anderson's animations were alright. I honestly have no idea what Bioware was thinking.

On the other hand I don't think that FemSheps sprinting animation is as bad as some make it out to be. Andersons is dire though.

This is pretty bad, but I found his running animations even worse.

to each his own. If you like it it's your call. You had no issues with any of it, though? You didn't find it to be....lacking? The multiplayer was aight, but the singleplayer could use A LOT of work, based on the demo.

Yeah. I remember reading that the demo was a January build, which isn't exactly old given the full game went gold in Feb.

Seriously?

Pages of people whining about animation. "Really? This is fine?"

Yes. Really.

People whining and cancelling preorders because Shep can't holster a weapon?

Or because a DEMO doesn't give you great character moments???

You're on PC, aren't you?

In any event, you've reaffirmed my complete disdain for humanity. Thanks.

Wow I thought the nitpicking/whining Trekkies were bad. Lol. Seriously so what if the animation in the demo isn't perfect. No big deal. Of course there will be some bugs and some issues in the game. ME1 and ME2 had them so will ME3. I didn't even notice that funny walk of Anderson while I was playing the demo myself until someone posted it. I agree with cerberus1701 here. We are only human you know. You can't expect everything be perfect.

I think the same way, but apparently a lot of people here think you can polish a game in that span. Given the length of time the game has been in development, I highly doubt the retial release will be any different from the demo with the exception of more dialogue instances and response choices.

Yeah really. If you do something bad, don't be surprised when people call you on it.

But then lemme guess...you play Bioware games for the story and don't need anything else to be competent.

Yes, this was "just a demo" and there may be some differences, but I've been playing games for about 20 years now and every demo I've played was far more indicative of the final product than the disclaimers would like you to believe. Yes, it's not the final product, but it most definitely is supposed to be reflect the final product since it is used as marketing. The demo came out less than a month before the game, and after the game went gold. It is certainly possible that the demo is using an old build or something, but they aren't going to release something that is a whole lot different than the final product because then it doesn't serve its purpose, which is to let people get a taste of the actual game. And let's not forget that "it's just a demo" was used for DA2. I liked the game overall, but I just couldn't believe that the beginning of the game looked like that. I thought, "It's just a demo. There's no way that the area around Lothering is all mud brown." Guess what, it was.

For better or worse, "It's just a demo" is not a valid excuse for anything that is sub-par. Maybe people are overreacting to certain things, and a lot of it will come down to personal taste, but regardless of what a person says, "It's just a demo" doesn't cut it.

Well, since I play Bioware games, and Bioware generally creates RPGs and RPGs are most concerned with story, then yes I am most concerned with story.

Where you and I really part company is the fact that, as I've seen from the demo the animations convey what the avatar is supposed to be doing. In short, they are competant. You guys are all in a panty twist over aesthetics

And that you can't holster your weapon is game breaking for some people? I cannot begin to fathom, much less articulate the level of dumb, entitled, and self-important that has to be rummaging through someone's mind to, not only make that possible, but to make that internally rational.

The demo for ME3 is (hopefully) such a small slice of the game (a sliver?) that it is hard to evaluate anything but the combat. It looks like ME2 in most respects, with a few changes. We will have to have the full game before any serious evaluation of the game can commence. Comments about multiplayer probably have the most validity at this point, as the single player portion doesn't more than scratch the surface of weapon or armor custimization, and we don't know what has happened in the sections of the game between the opening area's and the fertile female krogan recovery mission. We just don't have enough idea of everything that has, or can have, happened before the second mission of the demo. Hard to evaluate a book that goes from chapter 1 to some chapter in/near the middle, much less a game. My biggest issue, from what I experienced in the singl player portion of the demo is the universal key, but there will be other issues for everyone.

No, they even gave an example. That animation wasn't competent.
Sure it's not all animations, but there's definitly some stuff in there that shouldn't have slipped through.

People have given reasons why they don't like it, quite a bit of it not irrational. Some people have called it a deal/game breaker, but most people just seem to think it shouldn't have been cut.

Perhaps you should stop letting every complaint come across as Internet-angry and just give your say/view on the matter and leave it at that.

Certain levels of internet inanity can't be left alone.

You cant holster your weapon so it says but its 2012 and video games have came a long way and not having the option to holster just sound crazy.Which video games out today that dont offer the option of letting you put your weapons away.
