o.O so you'd spend 50 bucks on MP alone?

It's ~33.5$ on release or ~25.5$ with pre-order here in Russia :wizard:

I made a similar thread a couple days back...

Pretty sure nobody is going to get
specific answers about any of that until March 6th, so I guess you can
wait until March 7th and then decide what you want to do.

The problem with that is many game require you to preorder for additional content. Sure you can always preorder and cancel but honestly this kind of information should be talked about before the games release. Remember the developers are trying to sell you something. Since when do customers not want to know the most they can about the product before purchase. Plus it's not like it's spoiling the single player story at all.

I hope Bioware comes out and talks more on the Multiplayer and gives us some finer details before launch.

Klokos speculated and gave you the best answer that i happen to agree with. but a dev isnt going to sit down and answer you specifically. So, just wait until the game is released.

Well, that's what community managers are for. We don't want speculations this close to the release.
This is basic info that the OP is asking for.

I think you play too many small time games..big developers don't release much info at all up until release. Well purposely..

And I think you don't know what you are talking about... A lot of the "big time" developers do talk about their games features in detail before release. That's what keep game journalists relevant. Previewing games multiplayer before release is as common as a launch trailer being released. They always let you know about how many maps can be expected, how many different game modes, and any other details and therre is usually videos released showcasing them even if it's only a brief glimpse. The stuff the OP wanted to know usually is covered. Now I'm not asking for all that but it would be nice to know like the OP asked about how many maps and different enemy types? 2-5, 5-10, 10-15? Things like this really have no reason to be kept secret until launch. NONE.

They (EA/BIO) don't owe you people jack, your either a diehard fan or your on the fence, so wait until its finally released and you'll get all the info you need and or want.

Again they are trying to sell you something.

You assume too much, bud. Unlike you, i like to be fully aware of what i am purchasing.

Right on TwwIX! Sadly today I see more and more gamers satisfied with the hype machines and brief trailers that these companies marketing teams put out but yet when someone wants to ask about in detail what they will be purchasing they think we are the crazy ones.

Go ahead and just waste your money not knowing what you'll get... but don't act like we are the stupid ones for asking before we buy.

Its Mass Effect. Thats enough. The story is the main seller

...and yes there are people out there, like me, who are contemplating buying this game mainly for the multiplayer, not the single player, believe it or not. Who are you to scoff at how I spend my money?

This is from the leaks.

1. 6 maps to start with, more with dlc coming im sure.
2. 3 different ones. Cerberus, Geth and husks.
3. They might offer different packages of various costs. So a little easier.
4. about 4-7 types of different weapons per weapon class, and all of those have 10 power levels.
5. At least 4 different modifications. Damage adding barrels, sniping scopes, bayonets for more melee dmg etc.
6. No idea.

3. Will it be as hard as it is in demo to open a new class/weapon
4. Number of various weapons of one type
5. Number of modifications for one weapon type
6. Some kind of your total MP statictic page

Please answer if you can or tell me when this information will be availible for public. Thanks.

You should probably stop wasting your time and ours. If you are buying this game just for the MP then you are buying the game for the wrong reasons.

What i want to know is will there be a better lobby system. I'd like to join up with friends and then search for a match, finding that one last player if we need one, instead of playing 3 player or trying to jump into another game and invite each other. Spending so long waiting for people to join our open lobby its gotten a little frustrating.

And that's your opinion and only your opinion. Just because there may be a few million other people sharing this opinion does not make it any more true for all.

I haven't seen many developers tell you everything. Especially repsonding on the community sites with this information.

They might say it here somewhere, but I'm thinking stuff like this will either go into promotional material before release or not be talked about untill the game is out. Still there's two to three weeks before release so there's still likely to be some media blitz before that time.

I don't understand why. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE Mass Effect. I have the CE preordered because I love the story and RPG elements. But at the same time, based on the demo I would still pay $60 for the multiplayer if I had to. It's that good.

So if someone has never been in to Mass Effect but loves the multiplayer, I think it's worth it. They'll no doubt give the single player campaign a shot and they may love it. If not, then Multiplayer is still great.

I tend to compare the cost of an "entertainment" purchase against a movie. If a movie ticket is $12 and lasts for two hours, and if that is a sensible purchase, then a $60 game purchase is worth it if I get at least five hours of solid enjoyment. Well, I've already had WAY more than five hours of solid enjoyment out of the demo, and that was free :D

Guess what? People buy all kinds of products for various different reasons. Strange, huh?

Also, if you are not interested in the multiplayer, then what the **** are you doing in this forum section?
