i just have a few scattered thoughts i wanted to jot down to the community and get some feeback.
i bought all the items packs for DA2 because Dragon Age is my favorite gaming world and favorite set of games, so i enjoy any extra content. i have been using said gear from the items packs on every subsequent playthrough since their release. but something was missing...

i find DA2 is EXPONENTIALLY more fun when NOT using the DLC gear. if you do, it essentially completely removes the aspect of risk//reward. i started a new game a few days ago and made a decision NOT to use any of the item pack DLC and i'm having so much more fun playing DA2 again. 

anyone else have a similar experience?

so, i played the new ME3 demo and from what i cant tell, it really feels like a mash up of ME1 and ME2 which to me would be perfection. it seems like Bioware was experimenting for a couple years and are finding their stride now. 

if DA3 could be a mash up of DAO and DA2, i would lose my mind. i truly loved both games, in fact i think DA2's execution was WAY better than ME2's...

i would love to see the return of skills in DA3, i think the way Kingdoms of Amalur included skills was pefect, it adds kind of an extra dimension to the gaming, and not to mention KoA's skills felt VERY much inspired by DAO's... 

i would love to see weapons and armor more uniform as they were in Origins. i felt like the naming of the different materials, i.e. rank 1= iron, rank 2= grey iron, rank 3= steel and so on. plus the racial armaments and how they were set up was done very well in DAO, and i felt like in DA2 they got slightly sloppy and just kinda used whatever models and ranking/naming for gear that they wanted in DA2 that it lost that "uniform" feel that made the world of Thedas seem so real to me in Origins.

anyways, im so excited to see what BW has planned for DA in the future. i would LOVE to see a boxed x-pack for DA2 ala Awakening, theres just something special about the classic expansion packs boxed up that gets my nerd engine a revin'.

and of course we will be playing the final installment of Shepards story  in about 2 weeks and it looks really cool.
