Seriously i hate them they have milion hitpoints so much in fact that even if i start shooting right after it was deployed I cannot kill before it aseembles itself.
On the other hand when that thing is up it wil rip through your shield and health bar beffore you spot it or find cover. I go down my teammates notice it and rush for the rescue only to be moved down by the same sentry. I had a few games where a well placed sentry took down entire team. I hate them.
Nerf them NOW!!! or maybe later but just do it OK.
Sentries make me mad

Yeah, it's not that they're particularily hard to deal with, they just take way too long to take down. Even if you have a good angle on them from behind cover, it's just a chore spamming the same power 3-4 times as you unload half your ammo on it.
They get problematic if a teammate goes down near one. You have to deal with the turret before attempting to rez him but also while taking out anyone who might try executing him.

I think that maybe they should tone down the fire rate or damage a bit but other than that they're fine.

So you can't kill it at all? I have no problem with dealing with these single handedly but I do agree that it takes way to long to il them (I believe it take three Mantis Sniper shots in order to destroy WITH Cloak and a decent Level Infiltrator....)

They are 2 shots for me.

Easy if you have an engineer on your team (human can overload then incinerate, quarian can spawn a flamethrower turret which will annihilate a Cerberus one down to one or two armour bars).

Recommend checking corners and communicating when you see Turrets. It always helps. I haven't gotten horribly attacked by turrets since.

Turrets are my bane as a Vanguard. Especially if one has just been set up & I haven't spotted it.

That said, they're easy enough to take down it's just a chore & half to put enough bullets into them to be rid of them (as standard if there's no Overload/Incinerate available).
Only good thing about turrets is when they're set up & Cerberus are using the cover in front of them. Yoink! Grab! Yoink! Grab! Yoink! Grab! Yoi-...oh...all gone! Seems the Cerb' AI finds comfort in a big turret behind them...pity it's useless at that point!

Now I just pwn charge the turrets till they are dead, and if there are enemies around me I use what I call the nova charge dance.
Problem is when engineers set 2 or 3 of them... The DPS is ridiculous!!! I rather deal with 3 ATLAS than 3 turrets with support (and their engineers to repair them).

I charge at them and start Krogan Headbutting. Only if they were facing away from me first though. If they weren't I Carnage them to get them off my teammates back and hope that they have something up their sleeve to destroy it.

Best way to deal with them is to find a corner and try to align yourself so that the sentry can't shoot you and just shoot it down after. Or just keep manually popping in and out (not using the game's cover system), waiting your shields, etc...
Or as soldier, just toss 2 frags and get them destroyed.
You just need to mind your surroundings, that's all you need.

As a vanguard, the problem with the turrets is not seeing them. I can charge in to a situation and stay alive in almost every instance. Atlases present a small problem, but turrets are the real threat. If there's a turret and I didn't see it, I'm done. If I see it, though, I can handle it (at least now that I'm leveled up higher than a 10, lol).
