Change the way leader works

It's annoying when you're in the Lobby and the "leader" decides to leave just to have the game kick you out of the lobby because of that. It's the same thing during a game. A leader decided to leave and the game stopped, kicked the remaining players and restarted the wave, leaving me alone! This was incredibly frustrating.

The reason you are alone is because you get the option to leave as well if the leader leaves, so people just do that and start another round.

Seems to be this.

Sometimes when the leader leaves/disconnects, I get dropped in alone...though most of the time I remain with the other 2/1 who deployed with me in the first place.

I think the system is working as intended & is FINE...it's peoples own ragequitting that makes my brain itch.

Agreed it needs to be fixed single most annoying thing in the game for me thus far.

I don't leave if it happens in the middle of a match, but I do leave more often if it's in the lobby. Even moreso if I have doubts about the group's survivability.

Hit B a few times by accident but most of the time I end up back in the game quicker and usually helping out someone's game who has lost a person.
I don't see anything inheritly bad or souless or irrating about that.

No offense but team leaders are useless due to the fact if they exit the whole entire mission is scrapped. I am not saying this as complaint right now but rather one that will at some point get annoying in time.

Can someone explain something to me: When the leader leaves in the middle of the game (not before the game's started), I always get a "leader is restarting wave" or something and get an exit option (I only get this when it's the leader, not if one of the other players intentionally or not intentionally drops out). I've always just clicked it thinking the game was automatically done. If I don't click it, does the game just continue without the leader? If so, I'm smacking myself right now as I've lost a few points and credits by pressing that stinking "exit" button. Posted Image

Multiplayer is peer to peer. The "leader" is the player/system hosting the match. When the leader disconnects it needs to find a new leader out of the remaining players. If you don't click the prompt, it will select a new leader and restart the wave you were on.

You leave, you don't get what you earned.

I also believe the leader should have the ability to kick in the lobby without a vote. He is the host after all.

My only gripe is being trigger happy and hitting the exit button when that's not really what I want. I see that big red B button and just instinctively hit it... Usually thinking I'm just dismissing the message. I feel it's a little counterintuitive. You're using the typical "Back" button to acknowledge you want to perform an action. Everywhere else in the interface that button is a Cancel action.

I've mostly broken myself of the habit, but it still gets me sometimes.

I feel that those windows should make you press some other button to acknowledge, and leave B as a Cancel. (I would sugget A, but there's a good chance you're already using it for something. ;))

My internet connection is good enough for most players. Only 5 players left my games since 12 / 3 / 2012.
Still I understand your point. I hate host with bad internet connection.
