Excellent work. I'll try this if I start another SP campaign again.

I just got it to work in ME2 finally, and it works great!! The vivid saturation definitely enhances that dark tone the game takes. Not sure if ME1 really needs it, given that the colors are already so washed out. I'll try it anyways though, see if maybe I can get it working.

Thanks for the PM, Endgame.

If anyone else was wondering, the "fix" for the super blue overlay in ME3 is similar to a fix used in ME2. Just add DepthofField=False to your gamersettings.ini file in DocumentsBioWareMass Effect 3BIOGameConfig.

Before (DoF on):

After (DoF off):

So just out of curiosity which do you prefer? with or without DOF

So far I'm liking it quite a bit with DoF turned off. The game just seems so much more rich and colorful now. It's not perfect, but to see the game in something that isn't just a sea of blue and thick black shadows... it's quite refreshing. Right now I have DoF off and I've got film grain installed from the Cinema Mod. I might try the full Cinema Mod as well, just to see how that looks. But as I said, I'm really liking the way it looks as-is now.

Is it possible to get a tool that just sharpens the textures. Can i do that with the fxaa tool?

EDIT
yup using the fxaa tool just for post processing sharpness seems to work.

Well, not *all* of it, but you do lose some minor effects here and there. It's a trade-off, so whichever seems best to you.

Well you could use Radeonpro if your having too many problems with ENB and that you would want to use Crossfirex with Battlefield 3 i could totally understand but with Mass Effect 3 you will have problems with ENB, have you turned off Origin in game? Do you always update your graphic drivers?

I do update and I do have Origin turned off in my game. I've still been running it with CrossfireX on but I donly run into the spazzing flashing seizure type stuff once in a while. I'll just restart and it'll be gone until it comes up again maybe an hour later. No big deal - but its there

Well your the game doesn't really require dual graphic cards my gt555 handles it very well and i use texmod with many different mods and i overclock the card pretty high and for the most part i get really great frame rates except for some lag here and there. Have you tried with a single card and what were your results? Could your cards be dying? Have you played any games and get the same results outside of Origin?

@ Animositisomina, @ zeypher happy to help you out, yeah i have Depth of Field turned off everything does look a lot more brighter, cleaner and way better than that Smarteck crap with fxxa tool settings man horribly dark! What settings do you guys have for fxxa tool for post processing? From day one i have issues with film grain i have film grain added into gamersettings and still the same result.

Question! -> ME1 and ME2 have no Win32 Folder in the Binaries Folder. Where shall i copy the stuff from the CORE Folder into?

Just place the files wherever MassEffect.exe (or MassEffect2.exe) is, it doesn't have to be specifically the Win32 folder. That's just where the exe happens to be located for ME3 is all.

still debating between DOF. On one hand it gets rid of the crappy blue filter and vignette effect. I hate vignette effect. while on the other hand i lose ALL post processing :(

How sometimes i wish devs would give us more options for graphical tweaks. Witcher 2 is last game i remember which let me tweak the crap out of it.

BTW whats with game devs and filters these days. Every game that has had a color filter actually made it look bad. Deus ex: HR had the ****** (gold) filter, me3 has the blue filter.

Ok... what's wrong with the mod ? I use the Color Mod with SMAA and no Film Grain, and everything looks nicely colored, until I get into the actual game where everything is covered in a dark blue carpet that scares the crap out of me.

One more thing. Why is this new version of the ENB mod, Color Mod more exactly, not as brightly colored as your old Mod, MrChowder ? And is there a way to enhance them ?

Exit out of Origin completely (kill process). Navigate to Origin's Install location. Rename IGO32.dll to IGO32.dll.disable. Now restart Origin, and launch ME3. You shouldn't get an instant crash now.

Anyone that is using the FXAA tool, will get an instant crash after the latest Origin update. It's the IGO32.dll file that is causing this. Simply rename it, and problem is solved.

I've tried this and it doesn't work. Game keeps crashing. I'm using Win 7. Any idea how to fix it?

Hmm, maybe you haven't done it right ? Maybe you neglected something. Go to the location where you installed Origin ( the Origin folder is named Origin, of course ) and not Origin Games. Double-click the folder and look for the DLL named IGO32.dll . You just have to add .disable to its name and that should do it, no need for an Origin restart, or at least I didn't need one. Add the . ( dot ) aswell as in .(dot)disable. I'm sure you just missed the .(dot) and that screw it up.

@Nope. Still doesn't work. I did everything you said. Maybe I should reinstall ME3/Origin ?

Edit: I turned off xfire and mod starts to work. Apparently it was xfire fault.

Thanks for this very useful mod. I had to disable DOF anyway because of the terrible pitch-black shadows that are somehow the result of it. This bug had already been reported for ME 2, but even though BioWare apparently cared as little back then as they do now, at least there were some further tweaks that mostly got rid of it. None of those except for disabling DOF completely seem to work in ME 3 though. But I think that the game mostly looks better that way anway.

And it looks even better with this mod, less bland and even more realistic. I for one would appreciate a version that adds even more of that effect.

If you use xfire, then in xfire settings disable xfire ingame. Basically any gfx tweaks tools etc do not work very well with overlays like origin ingame or xfire ingame. Btw yes i use xfire as well.

Every time Origin updates, you will need to rename the IGO32.dll, as described above. Hope that fixes your issue!

I tried renaming IGO32.dll after the update but it still crashed. I uninstalled the Cinema Mod and then made sure the IGO32.dll file was renamed, then reinstalled the mod and it worked. I'm not sure why it didn't work when only renaming the file but I hope this helps someone if they are having the same problem.
