Can i use this together with enabling ambient occlusion in nvidia inspector or is something like that included in the mod?

You can enable AO on inspector, no problem with that. :D

Enable Ambient Occlusion (Nvidia):

Thanks. But why will this not work with forced aa from inspector? (said so in your instructions)

In some games ENB does not work when I force some AA. I do not know the technical explanation of why...  :huh:

That makes no difference to the problem I'm experiencing: an appcrash on startup. Eventually it will work properly, but frankly I'm a little annoyed at having to go through this everytime I want to play ME3. I don't know what's causing it, but the fact that it will load properly after the third or fourth appcrash leads me to suspect it's not something that can't be fixed.

So I went away for a couple of months and after a reinstall I found that this mod had nothing to do with my issues. So I would like to apologise and issue a mea culpa. It turns out it was a completely unrelated modification I made to my coalesced file. Boy do I feel stupid, especially since I stopped playing ME3 because of this and did a reinstall to try and fix the problem.

Welp. Glad you found out the root cause!

V1.01 Released

rjsftw.jpg

1.01 is a minor update for ME3 ONLY that adds letterboxing. The biggest changes are behind the scenes, where I switched to a much more robust shader library that has a bunch of new effects to play around with.

Changelog:
+ Letterboxing
+ Improved grain compatibility with lower resolutions
+ Realistic chromatic aberration based on lens distortion
+ Switched to new shader library
+ Updated README so that it's actually correct.

I checked the version I uploaded and it had the wrong values for chromatic aberration haha. Thanks for the catch!!

Here are the correct values:

#define ChromaticAmount   0.010
#define LensSize    0.51
#define LensDistortion    0.02
#define LensDistortionCubic  0.02

And I updated the .zip file online for anyone who downloads in the future: https://www.dropbox....a Mod V1.01.zip

Hey MrChowderClam.

Have you thought about replacing standart SweetFX with Boulotaur2024 Injector?

Enabled dynamic FilmGrain + Borderlands grain texture.

I am trying to install the 1.0v of this mod for ME2 and the d3d9.dll keeps crashing the game. What should I do?

Hi! I just wanted to say that I absolutely ADORE this mod. Paired with a texture mod, it made Mass Effect 1 look amazing, and I never ran into any issues (well, it crashed a couple times but it was a fair trade-off for such great graphics).

That said, I've run into an issue with ME2. After installing, ME2 resolution looks strange-- like when you have two layers of the same image but one is just a couple pixels off so that they're not aligned quite right. It's very subtle, but noticable. I uninstalled all the files and the res went back to normal with no issues. I should note that I hadn't installed any other mods on ME2 when I tried this.

I'm very new to using mods, so I haven't the slightest idea what could be causing this or how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for the awesome mod!

Did you disable Origin in game overlay? maybe you are using Fraps?

Sorry this is a little late, but directions are in the readme.txt:

To enable/disable letterboxing, set:
   #define HD6_VIGNETTE 1 //enable
   OR
   #define HD6_VIGNETTE 0 //disable

To enable/disable grain, set:
   #define NOISE 1 //enable
   OR
   #define NOISE 0 //disable

I've been running the 1.01 version with HR mods from Ottemis, and it looks fantastic. One question though, how would I install the color-enhanced version? Is is a separate download or an option within the 1.01 download?

Thanks!

So I've found this YouTube vid labeled Mass Effect 1 - ENB Mod Alpha which looked gorgeous. I downloaded this preset, but it looks nothing like the vid. I wonder why.

This is happening to me too. Not sure what's causing it and I haven't found anything about it anywhere else. It kinda looks like 3D is on.

It's the chromatic abberation. Disable it by opening "effect.txt" and change this:

//enable color
#define ECOLORSHIFT

to this:

//enable color
//#define ECOLORSHIFT

ta da! Chromatic is gone. I'll be posting an updated version really soon that will make changes like that much easier to make. c:
