I have to say the grain efffect looks very much the same as in ME2, once you tone it down a bit. If only there was a way to make it 'move' as it did in ME2. Right now the 'static' is ... well...static, and that shows sometimes.
Any chance of that happening?
Yay! Did you figure out how to tone it down? Just lower the value in "effect.txt" to 0.1
. Unfortunately, because this version of ENB doesn't provide a timer variable, I can't think of a way to have moving grain (simplest way is to just change the grain texture over time).
It's pretty decent when the camera's moving, but yeah, it looks wonky when the image isn't moving :/
Yes. I like it a lot when the 'camera' is NOT stationary. When it is... well... you know.
So what you're saying is that moving grain is not possible at all? I'm a noob at this but what is stopping 'us' from using a newer ENB version?
Film Grain helps A LOT with the immersion. The split between cutscenes and gameplay engine was WAAAAAY to noticable without it, breaking the flow. It's not so much with the Grain. I guess the lack of Film Grain implementation in the game itself is another clue that BW rushed the game

Edit: I totally disagree with people who say that Film Grain was only there to hide graphics imperfections. I mean, seriously. ME2 had it and ME3 doesn't look that much different. Film Grain was included on purpose, for a more 'cinematic' feel of the game(s).
