I agree, this sucks.
I cant sign on to my Origin right now, all I get is that he Origin network could not be reached :S
And then it also whined on my Cache folder!!? Wtf

Anyone else have this problem?

you don't need the internet for you to play the SP section of the demo

yes if you click the ME3 demo exe Origin will start but it will not be able to log in and ME3 demo will start shortly after

I have no idea what the cache problem is. care to elaborate?

I did not have this experience.  When I tried to launch ME3 directly, it brought up the little login window, which gave a connection error, and that was it.

hmm I just yanked out my cord to test it and it's working as I described. I'm not sure why it's different for you

I think you do, I have not experienced any problems with Origin as of yet. I also play Mass Effect 1 through Origin.

I think you need to log in the first time you fire up the game, after that the single player game is playable offline (at least for 24 hours I think).

hmm well I'll stop playing the ME3 demo and logging into origin for a few days to test it then. granted I think I met said criteria anyway, but no harm testing
