This skill seems to be seriously nerfed form ME2.

I dunno...I think it depends how you level it.

That said, in Me2 I could throw up Tech Armour & do whatever I wanted...it might have been a bit over the top.

Only done a little bit as Sentinel but I've found that leveling it as a protective ability, not an offensive one, seems to be the best route...at least for me.

I'm in two minds at the moment, but it just doesn't feel like it makes you more durable so far. More of an "oh ****" button to stun/knockback the enemy around you when you find yourself surrounded.

I like to power-spam, so I prefer not to use it unless absolutely necessary i.e. I need some more protection during a objective-protection waves.

it is a nerf if you consider the shield recharge function of the ME2 tech armor but at the same time since it provides a flat damage reduction no matter if u have shield or not, it is also a buff, considering that no matter your shield health, it wont last long in insanity anyway.

the new system also frees your cooldown for other abilities and with the new system, allows you to overweight yourself without care since you will never have to recast it anyway for protection. it also indirectly gives you more weapon damage cause you dont need carry upgrades in your class passive which lets you pick weapon damage upgrade.

still part of me is sad cause i no longer have the immortal shotgun sentinel in insanity if me2 T.T
