(I'm aware that this is only he Demo for a full game, but I just wanted to give an idea that would probably make people a bit happier!)

I believe that in addition to the current Reward crate options, Bioware should also put some crates that would give you specific characters, weapons, equipment and even mods for certain races and classes.

For example a class-secific crate:

"INFILTRATOR CRATE"- would contain SMGs, SMG mods, Sniper rifles (very slight chance for a Widow), Sniper rifle mods, Infiltrator characters/character XP (including alien races), Disruptor ammo, SMG amps, Sniper rifle amps, Adrenaline modulators, and the other basic items (MediGel, Cobras, Thermal Packs, Survival kits.)

Pricing: Around 65,000 - 85,000 Credits

A race-specific crate:

"KROGAN CRATE"- would contain Assault rifles (low chance of Revanent), Assault rifle mods, Shotguns (low chance of Claymore), Shotguns mods, a guaranteed Krogan character/Krogan XP upgrade, Armor Piercing ammo, Assault Rifle amps, Shotgun amps, Shield Upgrade, and the other basic items.

Pricing: Around 300,000 - 400,000 Credits

Thanks for reading, constructive criticism welcomed. :)

I like the idea of booster packs for classes &/or races specifically but I don't think anything should be guaranteed like you suggested.

+1 as an idea...question is, would this sort of booster pack be DLC/microtransaction or credits? I can't see microtransaction appearing "at the moment" but if more ways to spend credits show up, especially like this? It might be seen.

To be honest I like the limited reward, it's what keeps people interested. If you could get everything you wanted straight away it would get dull.

Could be both really;

- As credits... it would simply be a term of grinding and saving up.

- As a microtransaction, people would choose to willfully buy these crates if the wished to unlock certain things earlier. (I say $2 for class, $4 for race)

This is something i can see happening , other games already do it .

True, I understand where you're coming from... but the nature of random rewards can be highly detrimental to the interest of someone if they keep getting trashy items.

Personally I always wanted a Quarian, and it took eighteen Vet crates for me to finally unlock one. That could potentially frustrate many people, and ultimately cause a dislike in the system.

With these new crates, you're guaranteed something- you just have to work harder for them.

Pretty much agree with this.

The unlock system needs to be fixed either do it through XBL or they fix their stupid unlock system , but at least in Gears Epic did not lock the Locust behind some stupid role of the dice garbage .

I'm totally fine with DLC for things like maps, characters, whatever. But microtransactions is where I draw the line. I stopped playing Words With Friends because of this. I hope to God that doesn't happen.

I wish there would be, or the races would be unlocked as you progress in Singleplayer (like in Gears of War).

Now you see, THAT is a good idea. Recognising that our style of play is not random, nor is it particularly level-based, but it is both class and race centered, it makes sense that I, the Engineer-guy-thing, should want to get an engineer pack of some sort. Perhaps even more specifically, a tech pack, couples by a Shotgun/ close quater pack. That's a very clever take on weapons, but what about races? I';m not so sure the system works here.

The way I see it, races serve two purposes.
30%, they provide a new perk of some sort, like the Krogan charge and such, that give a new aspect of play.
70%, they are an extent of player-identity and a novelty.

It is deeply frustrating, especially in RPG's, when your player-identity is not served. I'm still convinced that we should just be able to play as whatever race/class we want from the ground up, leave upgrades to powers andweapons. Counter-arguments?

My problem with the idea of a microtransaction system is that ME3 is a $60 AAA title. It isn't some F2P Korean MMO trying to squeeze money out of you one cent at a time; it's a fully fledged major retail release.

I already paid a lot of money for this game. Why would I have to spend even more just to play it the way I want to?

I'm alright with paying for DLC later down the line, but when I spend $60 (or, more specifically, $80 for the Collector's Edition), I better not be expected to drop even more money just to unlock content that was shipped with the game.

Mass Effect = $60-$80 Single-Player RPG with a newly added multiplayer
Mass Effect != F2P Korean MMO Grindfest
Bioware needs to get this straight.

Did they really think that this was going to go over well . I mean seriosuly they have to fix this and frankly. I and many others do not care how . we want to play as the aliens and we should be able to . Simple as that. I wish this company was not in some stupid media black out . talking to the community helps with issues like this .
