Otherwise, awesome but short yeah :)

Ha! I thought the exact same thing! These "Digic" people doing the ME3 cgi trailers don't do faces as well as Blur did.

Man, kids really like playing with toy ships in the future. You'd think they'd all be playing the Xbox 2810 or Playstation 11. Way to fail future.

Trailer is cool, looking forward to a full length one. I bet a 90 second spot cost them a pretty penny. But Kinect probably footed the bill.....

Those kids are like around 5 years old though.  Do 5 year olds play xbox 360 or PS3?

Given the rapidly increasing rate of human maturity, I'll except 5 year olds to be driving in the future (IE it was a joke).

Why drive when cars drive themselves? :P

I wish. I crashed that skycar in LotSB a few times. Maybe Shep was trying to play video games and accidentaly turned off the autopilot.

I honestly don't see why they don't just do a CGI movie instead of a live action. They are going to have to use CGI or a crapload of makeup/prothetics/anamatronics for the alien races/environments. Why slap in real fleshy meat bags?

Can we expect the launch trailer to depict Shepard's journey, I wonder? That would be nice.:)

As someone else posted above, the full trailer is releasing on Tuesday. Dragging this thing out ad nauseam.

It was a nice buildup, but it got shorthanded before any sort of feeling came over me.

I just have to say, this Mass Effect trailer shows why Bioware should make a CG Mass Effect movie as opposed to live action. In 1 min 30sec they managed to evoke enough emotions up and down the entire scale and all of this without any spoken dialogue. That is saying something.

I don't think THEY animated it. Pretty sure they hired a company that does that kind of thing

I know that? Why does everyone feel the need to tell me that?! I never said THEY animated it. I said THEY should make a CG Movie. I am pretty sure they wrote the script for it and then hired a company to develop it. Or maybe it was in-house, in which case it would be that much easier.

Notice how Shepard have his gun holstered. You can't do that in the game. Lying worthless trailer.

Clever, full CGI trailer two weeks before release. Two more days of waiting, then two weeks, then two years to see what Bioware is gonna do next. I hate the number two.

orly? someone is clearly missing there
where is Garrus or they didn't include him of fear being too "nerdy" for the CoD crowd?

They probably got sick of looking at him, like I have.

I wish they would have told us ahead of time that a full version would be coming later (although I could have guessed). I'd rather wait till tuesday and get the full impact rather than watch a "new" trailer that I've already seen half of.

That was cool. It looked like London and possibly New York City getting destroyed by Reapers?

I saw an interesting comment on Kotaku. What if we'd seen a child husk after the bit with the sunflower girl? I agree that really would've tugged on heart strings more than these kids being killed by Reapers.

While watching, I tried to step back and pretend I was somebody who knew nothing about Mass Effect. From that perspective, it seems a bit... standard-- like they're really missing out on showcasing the things that make Mass Effect what it is. The other races, the other characters, the fact that the scope of the game is far beyond Earth-only, etc. I know it's only 90 seconds, but they could have done so much more with it while keeping it 'basic' enough for the average viewer. The only thing that might be eye-catching that would make someone think, "That's somewhat different than most sci-fi shooting games," from the trailer might have been the omni-tool, honestly.

But yeah, don't let me rain on your parade if you liked it, this is just my opinion. It really is well-made.

They didn't include Garrus, Liara etc because of marketing and the ad was focusing on Earth. It may make sense for you to recognize another non-human with Shep but does it really make sense to add an alien for people that have no idea what so ever about Mass Effect? Its humanities fight that's what their selling.

EA makes Great Cinematic CGI. I wonder why BioWare/EA is not in a huge competition with Square Enix, CGI Cinematic-Wise. Square Enix Provided the CGI for the Cinematic Trailer for Deus EX; HR I think.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but this is also the "tv safe" version. Full one is...grittier :)
