If I knew nothing about Mass Effect until I saw this trailer, to be honest I would've just dismissed it as a Halo-style manly shoot-em-up game. I know better, but only because I've played 1 & 2.

It fits the turians style. Not every ship even today is of standards. A Russian destroyer if I have my facts correct is almost the size of a standard U.S.Missile Cruiser

Besides, "Sheploo"(can someone tells me what that even means lol) has been the icon character for series(well, the trilogy) and it'd be pretty weird if on the last game, they market Fem-Shep in all the main trailers suddenly. =P

Heather you don't think Bioware is appeasing the female demographic enough as it is?? How many game dev companies would put out a custom femshep trailer, a ballot for the fans to see their favorite female shep on the cover of the Collector's Edition. Do you think any of this would have been done without them listening to you, when is it enough to satisfy? You can't expect them to have a female equivalent for every piece of marketing they put out there.

Elliegator is right. If I didn't know anything about Mass Effect I wouldn't be playing the game. In fact if I didn't know anything about Bioware's games in general I wouldn't be playing their games at all. This is because of the fact that it's marketed to boys exclusively and most women/girls would be turned off by the trailer. And it's a fact that female gamers are becoming more and more vocal about their gaming and that they are out there. About 40% of the market is female gamers.

The more they market to female gamers, the more female gamers there will be. I doubt that the number of male gamers is going to be rising much.

Male gamers are a given but the fact that more and more women and girls are playing video games and there are women going into the video game industry as game developers and designers is indicative of this trend. By marketing to that 40% currently and the rising percentage the more they will attract to their games. This is why me and you and many other female gamers demand more marketing and promotion of FemShep and female exclusive trailers.
Bioware is really shooting themselves in the foot and as Jerkface said selling themselves short. They are trying to bring in the CoD crowd, the Halo crowd and such but it isn't working all that much. It didn't work with DA2 it didn't work with ME2 and it's not working now. They need to market to other people not just the males and not just the fps people and run and gun types.

No Major if I had my way it would be a 50/50 split. 50 percent FemShep and 50 percent Sheploo. That way it is equal.
