I thought the trailer was pretty sweet, though the little girl was kind of odd looking. And what is with kids in the future playing with toy jets in the grass?

and its a girl playing with a toy jet!

Well, I wasn't making a sexist statement. I just found it odd that both of the soon to be dead children were doing the same thing. Perhaps the reapers saw the toy jets and confused the kids with enemy combatants?

It was a well made trailer, but I didn't like it. It just seemed very random and cut up to me, as others have said, kind of impersonal. It's really just throwing random bits of action in my face. It just doesn't sound right, and the music just seems like it's thrown in around different points. Doesn't really mesh well.

It really just seemed awkwardly sporadic, like the pieces didn't fit together.

Oh well.

Wow. That was disappointing, the teaser was better than this! Gears of War 3 had tons of emotion and action packed trailers in one! Bioware need to look at how Epic did the Dust to Dust launch trailer, Last Day from Gears of War 2 and Ashes to Ashes. All 3 had intense combat but conveyed a sense of hopelessness.

I like that trailer as well...Mad world was my fav song even before it...
The ME trailer was very good... it is just that it promotes things that are not what ME is? about (well at least for me). I saw it...looked like trailer to another Transformers and that is all no lingering emotion...nothing...that sad

Looked so real at the start when the girl was playing with it, almost to the point of me saying "I want one of those!"

The little girl was very cliche and in my opinion, it was looking more like a Michael Bay movie than Mass Effect but I still think it was a very well made trailer.
Kudos to the company which did the CGI, awesome work !

The trailer was really good but a bit short (would've like to see more of the battle). More of a commercial (which it is) than a trailer.

The trailer was pretty cool, but the whole time i just kept wishing it was Femshep. Sheploo has had his time in the cinematic spotlight so many times, i'm just dissapointed i guess i wish Bioware had had more bravery than that and used Femshep. *Sigh*

Visually it is good, but there's too much scene jumping to get a good idea of what's going on. Honestly I think if I was someone who had no idea what Mass Effect was I'd dismiss it since there's not much emotion in it, besides the: "aww that little girl died" thing. The full ME2 cinematic trailer gave a good idea of what to expect from ME2 in you know: fighting with a squad to beat some alien menance. It would be very hard to tell who is what for someone new watching this advertsiement. I mean are those non-descript human soldiers bad guys? Obviously the Husks are. But what is the relation with the giant War of  the Worlds things? For me there would be a serious WTF is going on here?

However for existing fans this is alright. We are familiar with these things. Though Ashley is an odd choice since she may or may not be alive. Garrus or Liara may have been a better choice not to mention also more distinct. Also Ashley is completely unrecognizable. I mean I know that's intended to be her. But if I had been oblivious to any media regarding ME3, I would honestly think that was a new squadmate. She doesn't resemble her old self at all. Also this trailer makes it seem you'd be on Earth fighting aliens the whole time like Resistance. Again ME2 gave you the idea your journey is galactic and that not all aliens are bad. Heck a truly uninformed person might chalk this up as some Transformers thingy.


Though I did appreaciate  the "nostalgia" Mako, even though I doubt there's any chance I'll get to drive it again in-game.
