I think I read a comment about there being no Council race aliens in the trailer but I did notice a scene where the Normandy is flying over the cruisers/dreadnoughts with what looks to be Turian frigates right behind it (at 1:21).

I liked the trailer but one thing I don't really get is the whole: teaser ---> trailer ---> extended trailer thing they do. Just show the whole damn thing in one go I says!

How do you guys know what this **** is?  I guess I don't pay that much attentiont to minor details.

What do you mean ? The "winged" ships are turian, they look like cruisers but move too fast so they must be frigates, and the background ships are Alliance cruisers. Considering both types of ships are seen in the Battle of the Citadel, i wouldn't call them "minor details ".

What are you talking about? Kaidan's armor is much more unique than Ashley's. Ashley is just wearing colored N7 armor. In fact Kaidan would've stood out the more, and looked much better than Ashley's oddly colored N7 armor.

Like I said, it's advertising. Same reason Alistair didn't appear in Sacred Ashes (and the Warden is some rugged white middle-aged guy and not female or his default 20 years old). The hero has to be instantly recognisable. They're not going to put another muscular bloke in there when they could put a hot wimminz instead.

At any rate, Ash is always MaleShep's default VS, so I don't see why this is especially unexpected.

For those of us who saved it, I wonder if we'll get to see the DA in action in ME3?  Hopefully it'll be more useful than being a "bullet magnet" like it was in ME1.

Okay, I have to admit that the poster Goodman Chris had on the opening post threw me into a fit of shameful giggling.
Shepard-Commander must really have gone off his rocker if he's charging a reaper with nothing but his shorts and an omni-blade.
And yes, the poster made a lot more sense when I saw a Walking Dead poster later, but still. Chuckles!
