If you remember Tom Clancy's End War, you were able to use your mic to give out orders. Now, the reason we can't give out orders on ME3 with a standard mic is because BioWare would have to write the voice recognition software themselves, and they don't have the time to do that, Kinect already has a very good Voice Recognition software built in, so it's easy for BioWare to implement it in ME3 for 360.

Playstation Eye also has voice recognition as far as I know.
Not to mention the fact that there are plenty of VR software on PC that can be used just as PhysX or Speedtree
libraries.

That is true, but it'd still give BioWare extra work.

Frankly voice commands are nothing groundbreaking, nor new or complicated, but it is clear that Xbox had to have its "exclusive feature" and Microsoft pushed for it.
Should we on PS3 have them too? Probably yes...maybe with Move as well.
Is the PS3 experience lessened by their absence? Now one bit.
