At Rank 5 Throw the two options are...

"Detonate- Increase force and damage of biotic detonations by 50%"

and

"Recharge Combo- Reset recharge time after a biotic combo detonates".

I dont understand what biotic detonations or biotic combos are? They seem completely unrelated to throw.

Can someone explain this please? Help is appreciated.:D

Lift + Throw

Singularity + Throw

Things like that.

Use Warp, Singularity, Pull or Stasis on a target and then follow it up with Throw. This will "detonate" the previous effect for added damage and AoE.

Hmm, neither seem perticularly useful, I think I'll go for detonate. Thanks for the explanation.

I wish they would have kept double Throw in the multiplayer demo.

Stasis Bubble + (Detonate) Throw is a beast.

They're usefulness depends mostly upon teamwork. For example, when working with an Adept, I love to use Throw to detonate their Singularities. It does some nice damage.

Still, I went for raw power in terms of my Throw. That way it acts as both a knock down and a damage dealer. I adore hitting the enemy with Throws when they are near a ledge or at the top of a ladder.

Does it occur when you stasis someone and then use lift? Or is it just the bubble type?

3 Steps to winning any difficulty:

1st: get an asari adept
2nd: level stasis field-thingy and throw/warp
3rd: use stasis field-thingy and throw/warp to bomb the **** out of enemies.

 As an asari adept that beat gold, I say throw primary use is killing turrets and atlas. Warp+Throw destroys shields and armor very quickly, and I would say that biotic detonation upgrade is a must, I would use that on people too, but stasis is a lot more effective, detonating stasis with throw on the other hand is useless, in my opinion, by the time the recharge is done the target should already be dead from bullets, and a new stasis should be cast right away on the new one, instead of damping cooldown on throw, even if it is fast. Throw is also good as an "oh ****" button when you run out of bullets, and to blast enemies that you can't see, through curving, so you don't have to expose yourself.

Not sure about the cooldown reset, since throw has a 1.8 sec CD for me i don't really need it.

And double pull, so you can do things like this in MP.
