BioWare ruined the Claymore. Worthless gun now.

Viper is not very good.

Widow is too heavy (weight), needs to be made a bit lighter.

Carnifex is a beast.

The claymore can bust the shields on guardians. It's without a doubt the most useful shotgun on a krogan.

The Locust doesn't seem as powerful damage-wise as in ME2 but to me I find it very handy for my engineer along with the predator on Silver/Gold. The CD of my drone is 1.80 seconds, and overload/incinerate are 3 seconds with rank 5 alliance training, level 19. It's especially awesome using it in conjunction with cryo ammo.

The claymore is just RAW.

I love that thing on my krogan soldier.   Carnage a guardians shield out of the way and 1 hit them in the face.

With the accuracy mod you can kill weak enemies practically half way across the map in 1-2 shots.  Up close to the face it's devastating.

And it sounds amazing.

The locust was one of my favorite weapons in ME2.  In ME3 it feels less accurate and less damaging... they also changed it's very distinct firing sound.  Honestly I don't mind the damage nerf but the accuracy nerf removes the main reason I loved the gun.

How is the Avenger worse than ME2? It seems to have been buffed heavily. Even though it has a smaller magazine and a slower rate of fire, it's much more accurate, and seems to have increased damage as well... though it might be it's just easier to score headshots.

Heck, I can actually kill enemies with it now. Even without mods or special ammo. In ME2, you either needed powerful ammo mods and lots of damage upgrades to use it effectively at higher levels.

Same, the massive damage buff and increase in accuracy more than makes up for the reduction in ROF. At level X it's outstanding and weighs almost nothing.
I didn't use the avenger in ME2 at all unless I ran out of ammo for every other weapon. Having said that, I had a Mattock.

I like my automatic weapons to have a fast firing speed. It's a personal preference. Thankfully, the Phaeston loks like it'll fill that niche for me.

The only thing I really think should be changed is the reload speed.  Speed it up just a little bit and everything will feel alright (and get an indirect damage boost in certain situations).

I love the slower reload speed on sniper rifles, and I'm an infiltrator since ME1. Makes you want to make your shots count, rather than just spam because who cares.

What bothers me the most is Avenger's 200 bullets, instead of 400. But that's not a huge thing as there is plenty of ammo packs around.
