Depends on what kind of mods you mean. Mods that are installed from .EXE files or require Texmod wont work, but anything that is just dropped in the Override folder should work.
To find the Override folder:
Right click on the Jade Empire icon in the folder where its installed and choose the option that says something like "Show content of package" (Something like that. Im running finnish version of OSX, so dont know exact wording in english). Then navigate to:
Contents->Resources->Transgaming->c_drive->Program Files->Jade Empire->Override
and drop/paste the Mod files there.
