What a sweet character/class this is. The total utility character. Tough as nails (almost as good as a krogan), gets character bonuses for the sniper rifle, has warp AND overload (making him perfect for taking out those pesky turrets and phantoms...) plus the tech armor of course.

If there's ever a good vanguard (esp. Asari) or someone with a Widow (I make due with a Mantis) I'll get outclassed pretty hard in kills. But I'm almost always the last man standing and I always kill the turrets and phantoms where others fail.

Any shield bonuses? How much more than human?

Turians have a bonus to accuracy and damage with all guns. The straight 40% damage reduction buff makes them just as good a sniper as Infiltrators in the sense they don't have to be in cover as much as can set up camp somewhere pretty easily. with a scope on the gold level magnum which name eludes me, you are basically be a tank with a magnum in hand.

I REALLY want to unlock him. My current "main" MP character is a human Sentinel (level 16 I think) and it's already my favorite class in the demo. A Mattock and a scoped Phalanx are more than enough firepower without affecting cooldowns much, and maxed out tech armor and warp are the icing on the cake.

I was lucky enough to unlock him in my starter kit. Been rocking all the health and shield bonuses so I can just walk through atlas fire on Silver.

never seen someone just "walk through" atlas on any difficulty as a Turian Sentinel. the sheild bonus is good, but is better for out in the open sniper shots.

as long as you have ANY shield at all, the atlas will kill that first with its shot. also, getting hit by an atlas seems pratty hard, seeing how slow they are.

I like playing the Turian sentinel because of the pure utility to it. Lacks the raw offensive power of most classes but is superb at drawing fire, taking out turrets and phantoms, and doing most of the other odds and ends.

It's Very well balanced.

I use the Avenger with scope and can pretty much take out anything solo. and usually get 20 Headshots by round 5

Yes, I like the Turian Sentinel as well. Tech armor with massive shields; I can absrob two nemesis shots no problem. Also, the stability bonuses seem to affect all guns, so my Avenger V is pretty accurate and is adept at tearing down health after a heavy warp.

I am not a fan of the Turian Sentinel. Don't get me wrong they have a great set of abilities. And I know that they get a gun damage bonus. For whatever reason I don't "see" the damage multiplier giving me any benefit. It seems to take just as many rounds to kill, say an Assault Trooper, with my Human Sentinel as it does my Turian.

By far my biggest gripe with this character is its inability to perform a combat roll. I can't say how many times I have died because I couldn't get away from a grenade fast enough with the Turian. In fact I would say that my 2 highest causes of death when playing as a Turian are grenades and Phantoms.

I am not knocking anyone else's love for this character, this is just MHO.

It's the perfect sentinel imo. It has Warp for armor and general damage and Overload for shields and stunning enemies. But I find it odd that a Turian can use biotics while the Krogan get's Incinerate. Aren't Turian biotics rare? Wouldn't it make more sense for the Krogan to have Warp? Maybe I'm just nitpicking but it doesn't make sense to me.

I can honestly say that I do not like the sentinel at all, even the Turian. Just not my kind of class, I guess. I much prefer my Salarian Infiltrator or Krogan Soldier. Even my Asari Adept, the bore that it is, is more fun.

This is easily my favorite class in the demo, and it goes beyond the fact that I've been waiting more than 4 years to play as a turian xD.

I love how moddable this character is. For example, I have four loadouts I typically choose between. A scoped Mattock to allow for quicker power recharge, an upgraded Viper to just sit back and snipe, and then Avenger/Scimitar and Avenger/Viper combos, which essentially turns the Turian Sentinel into a soldier with ungodly shields and Overload. All of them have their uses, though I've mostly stuck to just the Mattock lately, to allow for more frequent power usage.

As was said above, if you're playing with a talented Vanguard or a fully upgraded krogan, you're probably not going to lead the match's score. But I've found that playing as a Turian Sentinel, particularly if you're a bit further back, gives you an excellent view of the overall battle, and you can act as team strategist; figuring out the best locations for everyone to take down an escorted Atlas, for example.

I think it was engineer...might have been infiltrator though.

Turian Sentinel + Shotgun + Shuriken Scoped = Arse kicking to the 10th.

Also overload is a god send.

Yeah I did the same thing I almost never use warp, .  I ran mine with an Avenger and a Claymore, absolutely nasty.
