The LGBT community/muslim community face prejudice, insults, even persecution and violence because of their gender/sexual orientation/what they believe in.
Straight people/Christians don't.
It's not oppression to ask for an LGBT exclusive space. For them, it's a safe space where they can communicate freely with other people, and not be afraid of hurtful comments/homophobia. I think we straight people can deal with not being included in every little thing that goes on in the universe.
Again, i don't live in America. I live in a country where insulting or prejudice against gay people WILL get you in court.
Does it hurt your feelings, that you're not allowed to treat people like s**t?

Not because they belong to a particular group, especially if that group has to do with who they are genetically.
