Was actually a great idea Bioware. Having 3 powers auto hotkeyed keeps the action fast and focused. Power usage is smooth and the combinations, particularly asari adept, work great with eachother.

Well done bioware. You guys actually managed to pull off a great multiplayer for a game that was meant to be single player.

However i will say, like many others have, that tech armor needs to be fixed.

Tech Armor sure seems bit useless.

Can people please just leave this alone?  I'm loving the heck out of my Turian Sentinel who is essentially an unkillable juggernaut with Tech Armor up, blasting every which way with the Revenant.

Is Tech Armor the same as it used to be?  No.  It was grossly overpowered in ME2.  They made it balanced and useful now.  Not only can I carry a Revenant on my Turian Sentinel, but I can still fire off powers every 6.5 seconds while Tech Armor is up.  I don't even lose half of my shields from a grenade and I can still cast just as well as I did in ME2.

If you want something with infinitely regenerating shields, play a Vanguard.  Sentinels now have a new niche.

Yeah I also like to temporary boosters. (no sarcasm)
They add a bit of reassurance or a little extra kick.

I also like the new shield, I'd rather not be godmode like ME2 as that gets boring.

I play a more caster sentinel, different from yours, but I still love it. I spam use a 1.4 sec CD fully upgraded throw with +20% power damage from the Shield. Its like a tougher adept with somewhat less CC and 1 less detonation combo.

Although I would like the explosion to be automatic..but hey its still not bad.

I just wish you could remap the powers. I hate having Shockwave mapped to my left bumper for easy access when I don't even use it on my Vanguard. Maybe about 2 or 3 times on those waves where you have to sit still and hack the one objective I will use Shockwave to make the Guardians open their shield stance.

Tell me that when I can take heavy amount of fire or a direct Atlas hit and still stand without saying 'Shields down'. Trust me, it's the sole reason why I am standing and the others are not. Especially on Silver and Gold. It's a damn fine class power if you ask me.

As a Close range Sentinel, I agree.

I pretty much flank and annihilate everything without ever worrying about shields.

Yep.  Close range Revenant Sentinel is an amazing animal.  What ever you're firing on can't fire back because they're stunned the whole time and any friends he may have with him are little threat due to Tech Armor.

I think the point is that not everyone played their Sentinel as a damage sponge and some of us actually used them as an offensive caster instead. The changes to Tech Armor are great in terms of damage reduction in place of boosted shields but are horrible for the recharge penalty, which essentially kills the caster build. I would prefer to see the option to play either style instead of forcing every Sentinel to use heavier weapons over casting.

In terms of 'lore' or 'Fluff' I really don't get the Casting penalty. I thought, from original ME lore, that the Sentinel's shields also served as a conduit for biotic abilities and tech equipment.

Yet now that seems to have gone in other direction.

In terms of gameplay, I can't stand the penalty...so I prefer a Soldier or Engineer to the Sentinel. In ME1 and ME2 it was the other way around for me.

Also with only three powers at a time, it encourages teamwork
every match has to a balance of biotic, technology and general combat skill
so it best with friends

If you want to play a caster, you absolutely can.  Just don't activate Tech Armor unless you absolutely need it.  Use it as a point-blank area of effect stun by double clicking the power button and just use Warp, Throw, Cryo and Overload on their much shorter cooldowns.

You can't expect to be both a caster and a tank.  That's what you had in ME2 but it was what made the Sentinel an absolute cake walk.
