Mattock and that starting SMG. It's pretty decent for an Adept.
How many weapons do you use?

On my Solider I carry the Mattock and Carnifex. I mainly use the Carnifex. Best gun in the game IMO.

The Carnifex. Best thing in the world. Infiltrators get one hit kill headshots so easily with it.

Usually I use just one per match...and on caster classes it helps with cool down issues.

I use only a single weapon. A sniper with my Infiltrator, a pistol with my Adept, and an assault rifle for my Engineer. MUCH better. You can kick a few hundred extra asses that way.john129pats wrote...
Just out of curiousity, what class are you normally, and how many weapons do you use?
Also, has anyone tried playing without weapons at all? You get a 200% power cooldown reduction, so I thought that maybe someone tested it out, to see how effective it may be.

Honestly the Mattock is all I need, I have more than enough ammo which is plentiful to begin with.

For my regular Human Soldier build I use the Avenger with Stability upgrade plus the starter SMG.
For my Krogan Soldier I use a Katana Shotgun with a bayonet plug and accuracy booster. No side weapon for the recharge bonus, which helps to make up for the Fortification recharge penalty.

For my lady Vanguard, if I didn't run out of bullets now and again, I'd only bring my heavy pistol. I'm sure I could manage it, but I prefer not running out at an inopportune moment.

Just using Mattock for now, might try only pistol sometime.
Mostly playing melee/protection specced sentinel, spamming warp+throw detonations from range (this is why I want fast cooldown) and melee up close for the +75% damage buff.

Krogan Soldier: Just use the Claymore. I use it to help pick off things too far away, and to kill Guardians. It actually snipes pretty good, I just gotta aim it at the slit hole on their shield and I'll get a headshot kill. I kill people at midrange with upper body shots. The trick is to get enough of the spread on their head to oneshot them.
I have the accuracy mod and the bayonet on it.

On my Adept and Vanguard I just use a pistol. I mostly spam powers, so gotta keep that recharge as close to 200% as possible.
Infiltrator I use a sniper rifle and keep a backup pistol handy for closer range encounters.
Those are the only classes I've used extensively to this point. I imagine I'll probably only use a pistol for my engineer, but the soldier and sentinel I'll probably snap a couple full sized weapons on.

Everything not Krogan: So far a Shotgun and an SMG/Handgun.
Krogan: Revenant and Shotgun/Sniper. No need to worry about cooldowns when I don't actually have any power that uses a cooldown!

Yeah I used to rock Claymore/Revenant since I didn't use powers, but now that everything is maxed except for Grenade and Carnage I've been pumping points into Carnage, and it's stopping power is really useful in a lot of situations.
Also like getting them when they are low on health with it and seeing them explode into chunks.

I only use the Avenger and nothing else for my Sentinel. My a sari adept uses the Tempest and the Avenger. They work very well which makes me happy.

At the moment, I'm playing Salarian Infiltrator, and the only weapon I use is the M97-Viper. I keep a Tempest SMG as a backup just in case, but only use it 5% of the time.

Mostly play Human Male Adept with a Viper and Phalanx.

I play as an Adept, so I only use an SMG. Spamming those biotics like there's no tomorrow!

It's interesting to note guys/gals that different classes have different weight abilities (i.e. one weapon will cause more slow-down for a class than another one will). Which means that the bast carry capacity for classes can be different (either that or it's due to upgrading the weight of some of the classes).

Mattock on my Engi. Scoped Phalanx on my Asari Adept. Going to try just a pistol on the Vanguard and see how it goes.

I'm a power-spammer, so always just one for CD reasons. Engies, soldiers, sentinels use Mattock X. Adept has a scoped Phalanx (VIII I think). Infiltrator has a high level Mantis and Vanguard a high level Katana.

Carnifex if I'm feeling lazy.
It's too powerful. Even on gold.
Otherwise whatever I feel like, silver is easy enough as is, bronze you can just take whatever.
