Hi everyone, been lurking in the forums for a while now and thought I'd finally sign up and have a mini-vent.

I get that with the demo going live for the whole of the Xbox community we are now encountering that strange breed of players who either a) don't get mass effect's nuances or B) have limited or no experience of online play.

Let me firstly say welcome to you all. We were all new once and the players on this forum by and large will gladly offer you advice and guidance along with some cautionary tales of their own early steps in the dangerous world of co-op n7 operations.

New players, try to stay alive yes, but please, please don't hide behind the crate on the landing pad on the firebase red map and watch the other 3 players being downed as they try and complete the objectives whilst you just gain afk experience, that is just plain rude. If you feel you can't contribute meaningfully to the mission, at least run out and try to draw some fire whilst your team-mates go for the revives.

/end moan
;)

It's about 10 years since the last time I played an online multiplayer game and I'm not afraid to say that I suck. Hiding in order to get XP is just plain rude, though.

I'm sorry, my experiences with Nickelodeon's twitter channel has left me with an unending hatred towards winky faces.

I wouldn't have even thought to do that. I kind of admire the craftiness.

I personally enjoyed the ME franchise because it was a Single Player experience, but since its gone multiplayer, the community seems to be full of elitism that if you don't do it EXACTLY like they say, you outright suck or something along those lines.

I tend to avoid players like that, they tend to remove all the fun out of a game, just to win EVERY time and when they lose once, no matter whos fault it is, they moan to the newcomer, i just can't stand players like that.

yet cowardice is lame, you know how to shot, then SHOOT!!!

even if you have no confidence, shooting is the least you can do... shooting and staying with the team.

had a level 6 infiltrator that spend the game cloacked and hiding, in the end managed to get the amazing amount of 2800 points... and I am starting to think that 2500 of those where due to the bonus exp :/

on the next one he managed to get a silver assist medal, and was closer when he died so it wasn't a **** to go full vanguard just to rescue him half way across the map.

I haven't noticed any problems with that. Everyone seems to get stuck in.

And get themselves killed trying to revive me often enough. Sorry about that.

So I was playing on the PS3 version of everyone was needed help and this guy could've easily help 2/3 of us but instead he kept jumping left and right for no reason. It pissed me off. He then died.
