Good Post!

Might want to add in what the four supplies do, in the equipment section of the PC version:

The thermal clip pack (Keyboard #8) refills your ammo and gernade count.  This is handy if your a soldier, an infiltrator, or a Drell vanguard since gernades can be hard to resupply in gold/silver games.

The ops-survival pack (Keyboard #6) automatically restores both kinetic barriers and healthbars.  This ability is often overlooked because the barriers regenerate overtime and the healthbar resets after each wave is completed.  Still it has its purpose in the battlefield.

The medi-gel pack (Keyboard #7) acts as a savior to those in trouble: when your die and the team is on the other side of the map, use a medi-gel to automatically come back to life.  It also gives you a chance to save a wipe and give yourself some time to counterattack.  Very handy!

The Cobra Rocket Launcher (Keyboard #5) is the one-hit-Atlas-killer-AOE-bomb!  Shoot one off this bad boyand watch the mech blow up into pieces, taking out anything else in the explosion.   Use them as a last resort if the opposition becomes overwhelming!

To note, each of these supplies can be brought via the Recruit and Veteran Packs.  The recruit's pack only gives out one supply package each time, while the veteren's pack has three supply package.  In each match, you can only use each powers two times.  That means with a team of four will have a total of 12 supplies!  Be sure to use each supply package wisely for every situation!

Good Hunting out there!Posted Image

I have a bit of a disagreement with Vanguard being classified as 'hard'. While they're a bit tougher to play for a low-level Vanguard, a Vanguard with a fully-specced Charge tree with the Barrior talent(100% shields every time you Charge) is a piece of cake to play. Charge, shotgun once, Nova, Charge, shotgun once, Nova. You are literally impossible to kill. I imagine they'll get nerfed sometime in the near future. (Of course, this strategy is used for Bronze. A bit more thought is needed for Silver/Gold.)

It's hard class to get into still. You have to learn when to charge and when not to and what to do in what order. What you do when your charge goes bad, etc...

Also, as I just found out, try to know where your teammates are aiming.  I was recently told (rather firmly) to not run in front of someone (Sorry, I'll keep a better eye out now that I know better.)

At level 20, you have all of the points available minus 21...

Sorry, don't know what you mean by that!  How many points will have to spend?

I prefer to use an smg for the vanguard. I find it easier to circle strafe with it and circle strafe is a good thing.

why your supposed to charge that's why shotguns have that bayonet mod on them that increases there  melee damage and choke that increases damage  fired from the shotgum but you should always never charge unless you have back up with you that can cover you rear as yuo charge into the enemy

Not everyone likes Shotguns. They generaly require mutiple shots, unless you hit to the head for sure and they fire very slowly. SMG can be great because you can just spam it on the direction of enemy and deal pretty good damage.
Especialy for starting Vanguards, SMG might be just what they need.

Exactly, and with an SMG, I can have 200% ability recharge so I can keep charging more often.  Also, filling an enemy with a constant stream of bullets keeps them dancing if they're not flat on their back.  Plus, you can quickly choose other targets, and fewer reloads.  Plus, when you are circle strafing, you are harder to hit.

Nice read! :)

Other piece of advice:
Keep comms - headset is useful
Check your six - enemies flank players
Support team, don't worry about kills. (I get first place on games where I just get assists)

My XBL gamertag for newbies: PinoyForce10

I won't run away if you need help leveling up. :)

Tip for getting class upgrades when buying packs:
It seems that if you buy a pack with a certain class and you get a class card, it will be of the other 5 classes. Certain classes seemed to be "paired". I discovered this when grinding my Sentinel I was getting Infiltrator cards. I switched to Infiltrator and I got Sentinel cards.

anyone want to confirm this with different classes?

No offence, but i laughed hard when i saw that Vanguard's difficulty is "hard". It requires some skill, true, but i would've set moderate to it. Infiltrator however... now that's a "hard" class.

Whats hard and easy are at the end of the day opinions. I find vanguards very tough to play in MP as I don't have the twitch reflexes and situational awareness not to get shot pieces after charging.

Infiltrators I find simple. Cloak, headshot, rinse, repeat. Cloak and rez, cloak and hack objective.

Just thought I should move this back up. Knowing etiquette is never a bad thing.

I got a card in a Spectre pack that upgraded my Cobra carrying capacity to 3. So those kind of cards do exist.
It was a rare, and it was awesome.

I use Shuriken IN Gold and it isn't terribly laughable. It actually works well at higher levels. It deals solid damage and quite fast.

Noob here......I cannot figure out how to heal companions who are down. Do you just click on the first aid thing? I can't believe this has stumped me but .... there you go. Any advice would be appreciated.

Companions who are bleeding out need to be revived. Go up to them, and you will see an activation icon like with hack objective. Hit space (or relevant console button) and they should revive. Be careful as you will be vulnerable to enemy fire when reviving. Either clear the area first, or if an infiltrator, cloak and then heal your teammate.

Thank you so much!  Does the icon expire?  I tried to revive someone just now and the icon was gone (they were across the room and it took a while to get there).

Yes, there is a only a short amount of time before they bleed out and are dead for the rest of the wave. If you die, you will see this timer and will have to mash space repeatedly to extend.

Note that some special kills (Phantom/Banshee stabs, Atlast claw-grab) will kill the player instantly without any chance of revival for the rest of the wave.

Awesome information, OP!
Any chance you have something like this for Gold mode?
I have graduated from Bronze, and am doing pretty well in Silver.
I am building the guts to try Gold, but want to make sure i take proper weapons loadout into it.
Can you or anyone recommend info on what weapons are signature Gold mode weapons or any tactics that would benefit Gold players as opposed to Silver or Bronze?

Thanks again for great info!
