Whoa hate for the OP something fierce.

You did good work OP. I know that in my first few games I'm deeply thankful for the more experienced players who kept me alive, covered my flanks, taught me how to move etc.

I try to pay the favour on by playing with some newbies and looking after them from time to time.

Aye, I'm just happy they learned to stay on the move.

The first match we played together, they all just sat in one spot, only moving to get out of the way of a rampaging Phantom or Atlas, hence why I assumed they were new.

I'm especially glad that this tactic is what kept them alive in the resulting Silver match afterwards.

Edit: Funny. This quote comes to mind, now that I mention this.

"The Universe is a dark place. I'm trying to make it brighter before I die."
- Thane Krios

I disagree. Camping works better in this game.

Unless you are chasing objectives, it's best to find a decent place, and let them come to you. Running and gunning is too risky.

This game rewards teamwork, not individuals.

Not what I meant. By 'staying on the move' I meant 'moving as a group and watching eachother's backs'.

Camping is far too risky in Gold, from what I've seen. You get overwhelmed way too easy.

Sure, some people might be able to pull it off, and I applaud them for being so resilient.

Anyways, food beckons.
Take care, all.

Not really sure if you're trying to troll, or if you're trying to be funny, or what.

I wasn't referring to your experience, just talking about an experience where I had to babysit. No attempt at trolling or humor and I have no idea why you would even read that in what I said. I was simply agreeing that some people require babysitting.

Slightly NSFW - Foul language within. (Yeah yeah, I know. Swearing is bad. It's a habit I've been trying to break.)

LOL no, it is not bad. Such notion is completely nonsensical.

Triquel for a franchise that's been singleplayer and story-focused has people who aren't fully committed to becoming expert fps (or tps, if you want to split that hair) gamers before hopping online?

That's it, I'm cancelling my preorder. Better cancel the whole release of the game!

Seems not everyone reads before posting, ah well.
Good job, when I can't round up my usual group I try to do the same on ps3, for as long as it works.
Sometimes they're crazy, as in level 8 tries Gold cause you join crazy, but there's often at least one guy who does way better than level, N7 and character, would make me expect.

Closest experience I got was half the squad disconnecting so me and 12 guy versus the horde. discovered how many extra bad guys spawn if you can't get to the objective quickly, and only won cause he knew when it'd be Far too dangerous to res.
Something I never learned I admit. Always first to try and time my res-sprint for the turret burstfire. or the atlas missile reload...

Right now, I probably last a hell of a lot longer than a Krogan Soldier. And that's saying something.

A bad one, maybe. Not one that knows how to play.
