Title.
If there's no Krogan Vanguard I might have a nervous breakdown.
So... will every race be allowed to be every class in the full version?

I thought the choice of races for some of the classes were a bit odd. But maybe a krogan with charge would be overkill.

Doubt it. Asari Soldier? Quarian Adept?

A little odd that the Drell was made a Vanguard.

Isn't Thane technically a vanguard though?

So did I. I thought a drell would be able to play as Infiltrator at least.
Didn't expect Quarian to be there, saw it coming with Salarian though.

How so? We know next to nothing about Drell biotic abilities other than what Thane had. He had pull and he was a trained assassin. I'm not sure biotic charge would be discrete for the purposes of assassination. The drell is also an adept in the demo so clearly the average drell boasts handy biotics. If anything I don't think humans should have every single class but that's just me.

Given his backstory and how the AI seemed to use him, I thought of him more as a cross between an Infiltrator and an Adept.
Besides that, Vanguards are meant to charge into melee. You don't want the frailest/smallest guy on the team charging into melee. It just doesn't make sense.

Basically what I said above. As others have said elsewhere, it has more to do with appearance than anything else. The Drell appear to be small/frail physically, where being a vanguard is not only about biotics but also about taking the enemy on in melee, and often in large groups. It just looks 'off.'

He acts more like an infiltrator but he has no tech powers. He has biotic powers and ammo powers so I saw him as vanguard with a sniper rifle instead of a shotgun. Suppose it depends how you define vanguard though.

No. This is for balancing issues.

Amen to that. Artificially limiting things when there's no real reason is just stupid. Combine that with other shortcomings and you don't really have much to brag about. If some combination would be "overpowered", your balancing team sucks - plain and simple.
ps. I want an Asari Infiltrator.

A friend told me that each class looks like it has an empty space for another race. Perhaps we can have a Krogan Vanguard after all! Besides, they don't all have to have Charge, technically. Look at the Soldier classes. Humans have Adrenaline Rush while Krogans have Fortification and Turians have Marksman. Perhaps a Krogan Vanguard could have Nova (which would be super powerful considering their huge amounts of shields) and then two more Biotic powers like Shockwave, Pull or Warp.
I think that would make sense that there is an extra slot for races, or if they would just combine the Human Male and Human Female into one and left the gender choice up to you when making the character. In fact, why even separate them from the start? They have no differences in abilities or powers, don't they?
