So you can test out different builds on your characters.
Is there a way to redistribute skill points?

Apparently you can in the full version but for the demo they disabled it. It's greyed out in the powers menu :\\

Yep, in the full version you can. In the demo you'll just have to let it go and try a different class if you really don't like what you've done with the current one.
It's a good reason to try all classes to see how they all play out.

Which is bad as I have the feeling I slighty miss-skilled and will be missing a single point to max-out my second power...

I too want the ability to re-spec my Engineer, and the other classes I'll be playing.
I'll want to try different powers, abilities, melee or shield options for optimal performance on the field.

re-unlocking everything again is just about the last thing anyone would do...
makes me kinda dread going thru the same RNG game again when it goes live

You can't. That's why the reset powers option exists but sadly it's been disabled in the demo.
Somebody on these forums mentioned that you can reset the powers by editing a file on the PC version but he didn't elaborate any further.

In the full game you can "loot" from the pack "reset skill upgrade". Which allow you to respec.

Or you can fiddle with the files to respec yourself.

There are respec cards or you can promote, I thought someone of your caliber would know this.
