Just curious but I seem to be the only one who can't type or say anything over the mic.  When I press T, nothing happens and I don't see any thing be typed.   I can hear people over the mic but no can hear me.  I looked around and I can't see anything that I need to setup.

Anything that comes alit would be appreciated thanks.

Voice chat works for me, I had to go in and make sure the sound settings for the voice input were set for my headset.

Text chat, as far as I can tell, is not available in the demo.

I think the in game sensitivity is set too low for detecting voice. Meaning you have to set microphone boost and recording levels all the way up in your windows settings or else you'll have to pretty much shout into the mic in order for it to pick up that you are speaking and transmit.

yeah I dont understand why they didn't add the text chat. especially for a demo.

There's a part of the FAQ that talks about it.

Does the ME3 demo feature text chatting?
No, however we are aware this is desired, particularly for the hearing impaired, and are considering adding this feature to full game.


Meaning we might just have it in the full game.

The lobby at least NEEDS text chat to coordinate game settings and such

what on earth do they mean "considering" putting it in!! OMFG how can you possibly expect people to be able to fully enjoy the amazing and addictive MP CO-OP unless they can communicate in order to co-operate. I just cant believe bioware could even suggest that they wouldnt include such a feature. Text and voice chat is standard feature in all mp games otherwise you can just stick in bots and forget. Communicating, connecting and making new online mates is what its all about.. if you don't include the ability to communicate with other players people then it defeats the purpose imo.

The only frustration ive had is that i cant talk to anyone... i feel like a stupid mute in game and in the lobby. Please include text chat and voice chat that works!!

I got the feeling it will be in in the full game if not it will be in a update
