Some people got their copies shipped early and some retail stores sold copies early (I think just the console version).

One guess EB GAMES notorious for it, yet seem to never be punished i dont mind good on those guys having DA:O goodness already.

Just because you download the game/pre-load doesnt mean you can actaully play it. My steam DDE still says I have 1day and 17hrs.



Anyway,, If you know a way to bypass that puppy please feel free to post it.

Lol I have very similar stats to him...and equipment. Shows how linear and set the equipment is I suppose.

I called about 30 stores trying to find one that would sell it to me early without knowing they are not suppose to. I found one, it is from a major retailer but I will not give the name. The game is installing right now, I cannot wait.



I got the PC version.

I would have thought that digital and regular stores that release before the official street date would be violating some sort of distribution agreement? Kinda defeats the purpose of pre ordering if the release dates are solely based on who gets their shipments first.

Game have my CE copy in stock and my order has been authorised and paid for ....



But a day too late and it wont ship untill monday



They got them in stock on Friday because that is when my order status updated, but payment wasnt authorised untill saturday so no super early dispatch for me.

I know a game store near me that constantly releases early, but they get around it by buying from someone other than the actual company, so they claim they have no signed contract to honor the street date.
Apparently companies call them to complain and it just becomes them wondering how well their games are doing over time.

Not true at all...

I agree.  I worked for EB for 2 years, and we only put product on the shelf early if the street date was broken by another company.  I can't remember the company breaking street date the whole time I was there.  Now I know toys R Us has done it a few times.  To say that EB/Gamestop is notorious for anything involving streetdate... Well all you can say is they are the last company to do so. 

The company has probably done it before, but all companies have done it before.  Don't pigeon hole EB with all the blame tho.

It sucks that some got lucky, and got their copies early.  Unless you are one of them.  Which I unfortunately am not.
