During extraction or the occasional data upload at the LZ, I've found a WONDROUS spot to just WRECK incoming troops. 

To the right of the LZ is a little building, right?  It has 2 entrances in the front.  If you take cover behind the right-most entrance, and are facing towards the rest of the base, you can shoot at incoming troops with virtually little retaliation.  I use a souped-up Mantis rifle as an Adept or Infiltrator, and I can tell you I've probably killed upwards of 20 troops of all kinds during extractions. 

The troops will be so focused on your squadmates in the LZ that they hardly ever go after you.  And when they do, they're either in the line of fire from your squadmates, or try to take cover from you inside the building, still well within your line of fire. 

Give it a shot .

I can confirm. It's a great place to camp, but you need the rest of the team near the LZ to do data-upload and to take out Guardians faster.
